Dale's parents, Ed and Maxine, arrived in New Port Richey in 1954 to teach at Gulf High School, and Ed became a State Farm Agent in 1960, working there for over 30 years as the largest homeowner insurer in the nation at that time.
Dale entered the world in 1960 at Tarpon General, since New Port Richey lacked a hospital back then.
Dale spent his childhood playing little league baseball in an era of unlocked doors, muscle cars, and the lively spirit of the 60s and 70s.
Dale began roofing in his early teens, alongside various other construction jobs.
Dale obtained his roofing license in 1989 at the age of 28.
