Dale's parents, Ed and Maxine, arrived in New Port Richey in 1954 to teach at Gulf High School, and Ed became a State Farm Agent in 1960, working there for over 30 years as the largest homeowner insurer in the nation at that time.
Dale was born in 1960 at Tarpon General, as there was no hospital in New Port Richey at that time.
Dale grew up playing little league baseball during a time of unlocked doors, muscle cars, and the vibrant culture of the 60s and 70s.
Dale began roofing in his early teens, alongside various other construction jobs.
Dale obtained his roofing license in 1989 at the age of 28.
