In 1954, Dale's parents, Ed and Maxine, moved to New Port Richey to teach at Gulf High School, and Ed started as a State Farm Agent in 1960, serving for over 30 years with the largest homeowner insurer in the country at that time.
In 1960, Dale was born at Tarpon General, as New Port Richey did not have a hospital at that time.
Dale grew up playing little league baseball during a time of unlocked doors, muscle cars, and the vibrant culture of the 60s and 70s.
Dale entered the roofing industry in his early teens, working various construction jobs as well.
Dale obtained his roofing license in 1989 at the age of 28.
