By now we've used Daddario to re-roof two homes, one to upgrade a composite roof that was still serviceable but looked tired, and now a challenging leaky-tile-roof project where the original installation (without underlayment, as allowed by late-1970s code) was fundamentally flawed.

In both cases Daddario's crew was swift, coordinated, tidy and expert. We're very impressed with the results, and they have proven to be easy to work with. Watching them choreograph the various specialty workers was like watching a ballet. This latest project was all the more impressive due to the siting of our property against a hill, meaning the roof was three stories above the steep driveway, at the end of a tight cul-de-sac.

First came the selection of the new roofing material. We made some initial choices from the manufacturer's website, but because things can look different in real life than in a brochure or on a computer screen, they arranged to have samples of our top three candidates delivered for us to review in various daylight conditions. It turned out the one I'd preferred looked way different in-person than it did when laid out on our driveway. So we chose a different one, a heathery terra-cotta, and I have to say it really looks great. It's amazing what a fresh roof can do to upgrade a house! By the way, once we were finished reviewing the samples, they came to pick them up, so there was no hassle for us at all.

The tear-off began on a Sunday and was complete that day. The new installation began the next day, Monday, with installation of high-efficiency underlayment layers and eyebrow venting, and repair of rotted wood and beams removal of the old roof revealed. They gave us two options for the gutter work in one area where the roof design was architecturally interesting but inconvenient for gutter installation; we chose the slightly costlier approach to preserve the architectural detail, and their gutter guy fashioned a custom sheet metal approach and painted it to match the rest of the gutter system. Work continued through Wednesday afternoon.

No surprises, quick work, and great results from this family firm with its roots in our region.

Stay away. I had an aging wood roof a few years away from overhaul and decided to vet D'addario by asking them to touch up a few things. They replaced a few wood shakes, about 20. Nothing else whatsoever was done. They had two guys on the job that mostly stood around and did nothing for a whole day. There was a half hour of labor there. Anyway...bill comes, more than $1,000. Several years later Knox did a great job on the new roof.

Daddario Roofing is a top notch organization. I had multiple companies come out to quote repairing some damaged wood shakes on my roof. All other companies stated it couldn't be repaired and needed to be replaced at a cost of 12k - $15k. Daddario came out and stated not only could the damaged shakes be replaced but that that my roof should last another 6-8 years with the repair. The gentleman who came to do the repairs was very nice, got the work done quickly, cleaned the roof from all debris and then cleaned the back patio and front driveway from all of the debris that came off the roof. Great company, excellent service and saved me a ton of money! Would recommend them to anyone.

Steve and his crews were top notch! They stripped my roof in 2 hours and had the entire job done in less than 2 days. He have a big roof too! The quality seems great so far and they fixed a small leak from a disconnected gutter without question after the job was done. It worked! Steve is very accommodating and it is quite noticeable why he has been in business for so long with such a high regard. They have a great reputation because they do a great job. Hands down. They repair your roof if anything happens while you're on their waiting list, which is awesome. The only issue is that their phone system is being switched over and it is hard to reach them sometimes. You go straight to voicemail instead of talking to someone in the office. They got back timely though and there were no worries. The price was extremely fair too!!!! We are very very happy that we used Daddario Roofing!!!!!!! B

They couldn't help me. I called in the middle of the first rain of El Niño. They answered the phone immediately, were very polite, courteous and empathetic. They apologized and said they were a smaller company and were absolutely overwhelmed with the amount of work right now and unable to take any new repair jobs. She asked my location and referred me to a company they've worked with that is bigger, in my area and may be able to help me. I really appreciate the level of customer service I got even though they weren't able to repair my roof today.
