My mother found this business in the newspaper. He seemed to be very professional and extremely knowledgeable initially. Multiple missed appointments, delays and no show or phone calls when he wasn't coming. This is not a professional way to run a business all. No respect for a persons time by not calling when when they don't show up. My mother had to call him every time to see if he was coming when an appointment had been made. My mother is a senior and even if she wasn't a senior I would not want anyone treated like this business has treated her. I hate she had ever given this business any money because the frustration that she has experienced is not worth it at all.

I had this company come to Gaffney, SC to put new screen on my deck and it is a pretty big job. My deck is 30' x 16' and 8' high. The company finished in March of this year and I had just had a hip replacement and could not get out to inspect the job. When I was able to get out and look it over I found several issue that needed to be fixed, one of which is a safety issue. I have made multiple contacts with the company owner only to be put off week after week. I suppose I will have to pay some other company to come out and finish the job that D&N left undone. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I wish I saw the reviews before I hired them. Actually found them on Home Advisor's website so figured they were legit. Come to find out, I believe I am dealing with the same Don Johnson. Never on time, many excuses and stabbing work. I ended calling in a builder to look at the work and he told me that the deck flooring (that's all they got done in 2 weeks of piddling around with excuses) awash not to code. I contacted D & N Remodeling back and his ""secretary"" said they don't build to code. What! Are you supposed to ask that? Anyway, they are scammers and are actually trying to get more money from me saying that I broke the contract ( which was written up on a dollar store 5x7 invoice paper). I'm contacting Home Advisor! Deborah R. you are spot on. Edford Doynel Johnson Jr. aka Don Johnson and Nathan, his bro, currently using the D&N Remodeling name are scammers. Everything Deborah said is exactly what we experienced except job not finished and we are thousands in the hole. Their business has mutiple addresses - Travelers Rest and Greenville. They list 3 different addresses 124 Ridge Rd - 120 Freeman Bridge and 4 Silver Stirrup Ct - TR and no tax ID listed for any of these. So they have set up a web page and take your money because they are losers and can get away with it. AGAIN DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS and make sure if you get quotes with another company you check the names of the people cause they will just change their company name. If there were a minus ++ rating that would be my rating of choice.

Found nothing on website to lead me to believe I would encounter such a PITA..The D part (D& N )of this biz was extremely nice, on time intial visit. All fell apart on first day, he did not show up until after 12PM, worked till about 5 did not show up next day until after 5:30PM stayed an hour. PROMISED he would be there by 9:30AM next day NOT..he arrived about 1PM, LEFT after an hour came back about 3PM with another soul. We were on deadline for Saturday morning furniture delivery, Floors had not been finished. He constantly thought as long as he got it done by Friday evening all was well. WE had curtains to hang, furniture to start moving. Stain had to dry at least 6 hours!! Extremely humid that day, took at least 8 hours,that was 3AM. He gave excuses everyday for being late. Cost alot of money, didn't mind that so much IF he had just did ALL he said he would. In the END some of the molding was not nailed to wall, bootprints left on freshly stained floor. Do not know which one was responsible for those. We will have to buy stain to redo those areas. NEVER AGAIN!!! Run away from these people..do not be misled by the Pretty talk of: I am going to be on time, church goer, Military guy, bla bla bla Really do not like to judge people, normally do not do this sort of thing. BUT wish someone had warned US about him.
