As I am a contractor as well, I know who I can trust and who is pulling my leg. Keith is the real deal. He is super knowledgeable, very professional, conscientious, and carries a high degree of ethics. He took the time to educate me on different processes so I could make my own decision as to what would be best for my situation. There was no high pressure sales pitch. I highly recommend Custom Craft!

If you are reading this, you are doing exactly what I did when my roof needed help.
Comparing different companies, looking through Yelp reviews and still wondering, if you are going to be able to trust any of it.
Stop.
Keith Nokes of Custom Craft Urethane is worth your attention.
I have a two story home with flat roofs. One is a gravel and tar composite roof, the other is a foam roof. Both roofs are older and developed leaks in the most recent rainstorms of 2017.
I called and interviewed about 7-8 professional roofing companies, all specializing in flat roofs. Their findings ranged from the arrogant ""we will cut you a deal for only $150,000 for a new roof, if you sign a 2 year service contract with us"" to ""geez, no clue what this is- lets just open it up and see what we'll find"".
Discouraged, I called Keith.
He answered his phone as he was on his way from one job site to another. Asking very detailed questions about the specifics of my roof, it became apparent quickly, that he knew what he was talking about. He gave me a preliminary list of DIY items I could implement to stop the leak immediately, until he would be able to come out 2 days later.
We scheduled for a follow up on-site visit, during which he inspected my repair efforts and gave further advise on improvements. He evaluated the roofs and put me on a maintenance plan, that made the financial impact more realistic. I had the choice of continuing the DIY or hire him to do it.
We opted to do a combination of both.
Keith is honest, professional and extremely knowledgeable.
I feel confident in hiring him to repair my roof and I know that I will have piece of mind.
I am sure that you will, too. Give him a call, you won't regret it.

Keith came highly recommended, and I can see why. He and his crew were on time and completed the job in a single day like a well oiled machine. I already had a foam roof that was not holding up too well because of inferior workmanship. Keith could have recommended a more expensive fix, but decided that he could simply put new foam over the existing foam. Even with inferior workmanship, my house was already cool in the summers and warm in the winters. Now with the new foam that Keith put on, the house should be even more efficient. My roof looks awesome, my property looks cleaner than before they got here, and the price was very reasonable. If you have a flat roof, you should have a foam roof. If you need a foam roof, call Keith.

My wife and I bought Eichler home two years ago. I had no idea how to maintain the foam roof which Keith installed few years prior to my purchase. He came out to my house for a quick roof inspection without charge. He took the time to explain how it was installed and how I need to do in case if there's small holes cause by tree branches, so forth. Then again last week, he came out to inspect a very tiny crack which he gladly repaired for FREE. Again he was very helpful and informative about the roof, assuring that the condition is still solid, good for another 5 years with the proper maintenance. Of course, I'm going to have him and ONLY him to do the recoat in 5 years from now!

I knew a foam roof was ideal for my Eichler, but I was nervous about choosing the right contractor due to the importance of a roof and the investment. Keith was extremely informative, he didn't rush and provided easy to understand explanations. I appreciated his Eichler experience and that he made suggestions for overall maintenance I should consider as an Eichler newbie.
Because I contacted Custom Craft so late in the year I had to endure an El Niño winter before doing my roof but Keith's tips helped me make it through without problems. So why did I chose Custom Craft and why 5 stars?
1. Trust and perceived value based on my initial meeting
2. The warranty was slightly longer than a competitor
3. Making the customer happy - Keith & crew removed an inefficient swamp cooler and duct work from the roof while leaving vent connections for future use. One connection was in my line of sight through the atrium when entering from the back yard and he made the reduction before foaming.
4. Excellent communication
5. Thorough and considerate of pool, landscape, neighbors, etc.
6. Knowing Keith means it when he says he is available to help assure future electricians or solar installers don't mess up my roof.
7. Pride of work was evident throughout the entire crew.
I am so relieved I made the right decision to hire Custom Craft Urethane. The new solar tube in my hall is also fabulous and the replacement skylights block outdoor noise plus gives me improved ventilation near a shower. Thanks Keith!

From the beginning to the end it was a flawless experience! Keith was always available to answer our questions. His team arrived on time and finished early. We were in the house while they replaced the roof and it was not toxic or too loud. They left our yard cleaner than it was when they arrived. The roof looks beautiful and it's cooler inside the house.
LOOK NO FURTHER. THIS IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS. BRAVO!

Keith was the first roofer to tell me that I DID NOT need my Eichler roof replaced, when I called for an estimate. I doubted, since two other roofers had gone out of their way to tell me I was at the tag end of my roof's life, and so he came out all the way to San Rafael to check it out. And told me again that my roof had another 4-5 years on it, maybe even 10. He gave me some tips on maintaining it and left WITHOUT A DIME IN HIS POCKET.
When it's finally time to replace my roof, Keith, you're the guy. Thank you for saving me all that time and money !!!

For the longest time, price had always deterred me from insulating my low slope roof.
I decided to give it another try, and after the install I couldn't be happier and I wish that we would have done this so much sooner!
For the first time in five years, the temp inside our home in these last few cool summer days it about the same or less than the outside temp. We were used to the house being 15-20 degrees hotter in the afternoon!
For the first time ever, afternoon heat doesn't pour down when I turn the ceiling fans on! Not to mention that the heat that is in our home stays inside overnight much longer. I look forward to a warmer winter without running the heater all night!
Custom Craft with Keith as their foreman are a top notch team. I would recommend them in a heartbeat to my friends and family with flat or low slope roofs. They even knocked the job out a day early!

I, too, have a flat top Eichler in Lucas Valley, San Rafael. I did extensive research into the various roofing options, settled on foam and then interviewed several roofers who said they could do it. When I checked references (and who had been operating under one name for a long time), Custom Craft got the highest endorsements of any.
What sets Custom Craft Urethane apart is the involvement of Keith Nokes from start to finish. The crew, under his supervision did an excellent job, finishing in just a few days. Keith was extremely responsive, patient and helpful. Plus the guarantee and willingness to come back out if you need to do wiring later made a big impression.
For 20 years, I suffered heat in the summer and cold in the winter as my Eichler has little insulation. With the new roof, I am comfy rain or shine, heat or cold, and when I do turn on the radiant heat, it now stays inside instead of escaping to the great outdoors.
Custom Craft is not the least expensive option, but it is the value option for what is probably the biggest and most important investment I will make in the home. My only regret is not doing it sooner.
If you are considering a foam roof (and you should, if you have a low-slope, or flat roof,) definitely get a bid from Custom Craft!

Keith and his crew are top-notch. They've done our roof twice now -- 13 years apart! -- and both times they were great. Keith is very patient and was always happy to take the time to answer all of our questions. The work was performed quickly, with minimal disruptions, and the roof looks great. In addition, they went the extra mile in a few places, doing things that weren't strictly part of their job: patching a drainpipe hole, trimming back the trees so the raccoons would stay off the roof, etc. Keith has even come out for free a few times over the years to patch up places where the coating had bubbled up. Overall, a great group of people, really committed to customer service and quality work.
