This is a bit late in the coming but I can't tell you how great Micah and Dave were when it came to the whole roofing experience.

Last July, we finally bit the bullet and decided to install solar panels on our house. We hadn't done it before because we would have had to re-roof from the old shake roof. Micah was attentive, informative, and just plain great! Along with our own research, he talked us through the different roofing options.

They gave us a competitive bid and then went so far as to suggest a solar installer who was just as great, kind, and informative as they were!

Their teams---from the guys who tore out the old roof, to the guys who installed the new roof, to the gutter guys---were clean, efficient, and knew their stuff. Micah came by every day there was work being done and made sure everything was running smoothly. They installed the new roof in a week. That kind of clean, efficient service earned them the first four stars.

Here's the part that earned them that fifth star for above and beyond service.

When the project was done, we needed to put up the canvas awning over the patio. It had been anchored into the roof so had to be removed with the project. Micah and Dave came out, got up on the roof, made sure to put the eye rings into solid wood, and then added sealant to ensure there would be no leaks. *Then* they helped us put up the canvas cover...all while cracking jokes and chatting.

These guys are the best and I would wholeheartedly recommend you hiring them for your next roofing job!

Came out to fix a leak in my garage roof early the day after I called, even though it was raining. When a second leak popped up during the last big storm, inside the house this time, they scheduled me for first available sunny day just a week later. Previous quotes I had received before calling them were scheduling 4-6 weeks out! Work was done quickly, thoroughly, and with photos showing the completed work (including cleaning out gutters, roof valleys, and some patching). They even got up in my attic crawl space to make sure the leak didn't require more extensive work. I really appreciate that they didn't try to sell me on a new roof, though I know I'm probably getting close to needing one. Thank you for your quick, efficient, and polite service!

After that I had bad waterleaking and when I called them they didn't come to check the roof.

Two days ago, I noticed a crack in the vaulted ceiling in our bedroom and it was damp. It was in the area under one of our solar panels. I called Clean Solar to ask if they could check it out.
For roofing issues they had me call Micah and he was responsive to the situation. However, with the storm it would not be safe for him to access the peaked roof on our 2-story home in Alameda.
Meanwhile, the rain got lighter and the area around the crack started to dry out.
He scheduled to come out the next morning.
When Micah arrived, he assessed the bedroom ceiling, then went onto the roof and did not think the leak was from the solar panel install.
There was a pipe jack with a bad pipe collar. He quickly replaced it and today with the new storm, no leak, so far.
Cupertino Roofing is a reliable referral and will call them if I have other roofing issues.

I had roof leak problems during our recent storms. I called 3-4 different roofing companies and left voicemail messages. Cupertino roofing responded to my voice mail and explained their charges. Victor came over on the agreed on date to examine the roof. He fixed it enough so that it would temporarily stop leaking by cleaning the area near the leak. He explained part that he needed to order and also examined the roof to identify broken roof tiles that needed replacing. He came back over a week later to install the new flushing and replacement tiles. He cleaned up the roof to remove obstructions and also checked the skylight. Overall I was very happy with the work that was delivered by Victor. He was professional and was thorough in his work.

-Easy to communicate with! Micah willing to text, look at pictures of leak and keep things moving along
-Crew took pictures before, during, and after repair, and showed them to you
-Professional, courteous, worked continuously and effectively
-Micah won't put crew into risky situation on steep roof while raining
-Reasonable rates
-Cleaned up nicely after massive gutter/roof debris cleaning

Cons:
-None. Expect that if you call them during a rainstorm, they'll be ultra busy, just like every other roofer.

Cupertino Roofing installed our new roof in December of 2016. Finding a contractor was a VERY long process. We looked at a number of contractors and received numerous quotes before making our selection. Cupertino Roofing's quote was very reasonable, and their professionalism was unrivaled. Micah was extremely knowledgeable, had many years of experience in roofing, and was available at any time of day to answer any and all questions we had regarding our install. He even came out for a few hours to walk with us around our neighborhood to point out different roofing types and colors. We were a bit picky during this process, and had TONS of questions, but Micah was very patient with us and gave us all the information we needed to select our roof. Before our install, I let Micah know that we wanted to run some wires through the attic while the roof was off, and he assured me that it would be no problem at all and the team would gladly accommodate us. From start to finish, the job took less than a week. You'd think that having your roof torn off of your house (while living in it) would be a stressful process, but it wasn't. Micah and his crew took care of EVERYTHING! From protecting our belongings (in the garages) to clean up, they made sure that everything was left in its place, nothing was damaged, and all that we were left with was a beautiful new roof! And just as he promised, the crew was informed of our intentions to run wires and were very helpful in making sure the areas were clear for us to do that. I cannot say enough great things about this company. If you are looking for roofing guys, look no further! Thank you Cupertino Roofing, and especially Micah, for our awesome new roof!

After the review, they contacted me.
Although gutter was subcontract to the other company but since the contract was signed with them so they took the responsibility to fix the gutter.
Gutter was fixed within around a week timeframe. They adjust the level of gutter but have to install one more downspout in the middle section to release the water.
Now the gutter works fine.

great service! called them last night for leak around skylight. They responded back early this morning, came out within 1.5 hours and fixed it- very prompt, excellent rapport and they know their stuff!

Cupertino Roofing just finished replacing a shake roof with an asphalt roof for our home. They did a great job all around. Dave took the time to explain all the steps, set expectations, and offer advice. Victor and crew did an excellent job on the roof in extremely hot weather. Would recommend highly.
