I have to disagree with previous reviews about customer service. After coming to my house to fix the same leak twice the roof tiles remain on the roof with the secondary material fully exposed. The promised date to return the tiles came and went without explanation. I tried to call them several times but can't get through the switchboard. They say they will send an e mail to the service department. No returned calls from anyone on when the tiles will be replaced. Meanwhile, the hurricanes season approaches and I will be exposed to wind damage on top of the leak. Not to mention, the damage to sheet rock inside my garage. Can not recommend. This is the only Yelp review I've ever written and I'm only doing it to hopefully stop someone from making the same mistake I did and hiring Crown Roofing. I could write a book of all the problems I had but I'll summarize by saying that I've done numerous remodeling and renovation projects locally and in the northeast including building a large custom home and Crown is the single worst company in any trade I've ever had the misfortune of working with.

They're horrible on every level- zero communication, lack of supervision, lies at every turn about how and when things were being done, lack of follow-up, not listening to my concerns and questions, snarky employees and lack of basic safety measures. From start to finish my job took almost a year and there were no weather delays- just incompetence delays. From day one it was clear that if I wasn't planning on being home every minute of this job and watching them like a hawk it would be a disaster. So I was inconvenienced for months supervising the job and holding them accountable for their work.

I have no idea if this has become standard behavior in the roofing business but you could pick any roof company at random and probably have a better experience. Please avoid this company.

Without a doubt, the WORST experience with a contractor I have ever had!
From the very start it was evident that this company lacked any communication skills. It took Crown Roofing over 4 months to ""complete"". I say ""complete"" because I am left to deal with the broken A/C drain pipe and remaining handprints on my home. In all fairness, they did replace the 7 portions of screen they ripped covering the pool. I had voiced concerns regarding the workmanship that I was seeing, I got the run around on answers. I was told, by the ""super"", that it was actually good to have all these large gaps in the drip edge at the corners, wow! And that he would have someone out the next day to roll out all the lumps that were painfully obvious, nobody came, ever! So again no response to my issues, all documented through email, no response from anyone in charge. The only time there was immediate response though this entire process is when there was a check to pick up. Overall if I had to do it again I would certainly not chose Crown Roofing. Please beware.

I recently had Crown Roofing come to complete some work on my home after my association contracted with them. I concur with the others who are providing a poor rating. The work order was submitted in December of 2017 after Hurricane Irma and they didn't complete the work until December of 2018. In the meantime the water stain on my ceiling became worse and when I asked them to repair it, I was not only denied this request but when i asked for the owners information to discuss further, I was hung up on. DO NOT HIRE THIS SERVICE.

POOR WORKMANSHIP, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

All they know is how to send you a bill!!

AVOID THESE PEOPLE!!

I needed a new roof after hurricane Irma. Crown Roofing started off ok but ended with a nightmare.

First of all, they used the wrong ridge tile supports. The tiles don't lay correctly, they sit up very high compared to the surrounding field tiles. I mentioned this to them repeatedly, they tell me it's all done to code. That might be true but it's absolutely not industry standard, I'll post pics.

Second, after the job was done I ended up with a significant leak. Water damage was appearing in my living room ceiling. First they said it wasn't leaking and water must have entered during the roof tear off. When the water damage grew larger they admitted it was leaking. Crown repaired the leak that they caused on my brand new roof...a leak that wasn't there before they started. I'll post pics of that too.

Then they were completely unable to repair the water damage to the interior drywall. They sent out 2 different contractors over a 6 week period, neither of which knew what the hell they were doing. After they patched and painted, the stains returned. After MANY MONTHS I called in my own contractor who was able to fix the damage that Crown Roofing caused, plus the mold that formed in the attic.

When I went up on the roof to take pics, I pulled up on a few random ridge tiles and some of them lifted right up. I marked then with an X, called crown to resecure them, nothing....still loose, have to call someone else.

All along they keep sending bills for final payment. I submitted my invoices for the repair work my contractor did and they refused to deduct the total amount from the balance. I was threatened with a lien being put on my house if I refused to pay the amount they demanded.

So now I have a new roof with a huge patch on it and ridge cap tiles that sit too high and look wrong. Bad workmanship, leaks, loose tiles, inability to fix water damage and poor customer service.

STAY AWAY FROM CROWN ROOFING. I am a resident-owner of a large upscale Townhome in Baldwin Park (Orlando). I do not have the space here to enumerate the issues we have had and are still having with Crown. Their regional mgmt team (Pat Perkins & Bill Lester) are of absolutely no value to the customer, (or the company for that mater), in resolving poor workmanship, which for our owners means a now more porous roof than before the replacement began. Their sloppy and careless work has left us with multiple damages to each of our homes. On an attempt to contact the CEO & Pres. (Guil & Chris), there is no available contact info for them and upon request to their Corp office was told they do not provide that info, NOT EVEN AN EMAIL ADDRESS. I dictated over the phone to the receptionist (?) my request for urgent attention and was promised a reply. So far (week later) nothing! Upon calling a local certified independent roofing consultant and explaining our experience with Crown, I was told we could not have chosen a worse roofing contractor. (But of course, we didn't. Sentry Mgmt and our ROA did the shopping and signed the contract without consulting the ownership.) We will fight on, but PLEASE, DO YOURSELF A KINDNESS, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES HIRE CROWN FOR YOUR ROOFING NEEDS!!

I was an employee at the time Irma hit SW Florida. I felt so lucky to be employef by Crown Roofing. They said they take care of employees first. I signed the contract for a re-roof. Work began on Nov 27th. On Dec 1st my job was eliminated. I still believed they would do a good job, now I was a customer. I was so wrong. The tear off crew did not clean up after themselves. I contacted Yolanda to advise my concerns, she stated the next crew would clean up. Well they must be blind not only can they not nail shingles in a straight line they left behind 628 nails. I called Yolanda again , they sent out another crew who blew out my gutters with a leaf blower got in the truck & drove off.
Now I begin the clean up process after 2 nails damage my tires along with our lawn service mowers, a nail in my diabetic husband's foot(he has neuropathy) so did not feel thenail. The solar panel workers stepped on nails too.
I then contacted Crown Roofing again they sent Peter out to see our ripple crooked roof.
He took pictures & said someone would call us. Jacob called to said yes 628 nails is not acceptable. He said send Crown Roofing the bill for the tires they would reimburse me for the tires. I am still waiting.
Finally I called Chris Copeland again he stated Crown would pay for the tires still no check. Chris did day it is normal to have nails left behind....628 is that normal??
Also Chris said the ripple effect is Owen Cornings fault due to defective material.
That still does not explain the lack of Quality workmanship.
I know if my home was in Naples or Marco Island the Crown Roofing experience would have been different since Chris Copeland prefers to do business in those high end cities versus working on shingle roof homes in Cape Coral

I built a 300k house with Pulte and moved in mid June. I never had a need to go on the roof till xmas when I was putting lights up. To my amazement I found 15-20 broken roof tiles that were haphazardly glue foamed together and chunks of roofing material that were never cleaned up ( and this is after the hurricane). No one from crown has tried to remedy the issues despite Pulte contacting them 2 times over the past (2) months. The response...... they are very busy with hurricane roofs repairs. Be weary of this company, it seems they slap roofs on just to get paid then beat feet and won't stand behind a product or do any site review or inspection.
