Francisco and his crew has done a couple of foam roofs for me. Has been holding up well over the years. Fair pricing and no surprises, Francisco does what is right for the customer.

Francisco is the foam roofing expert you'll find in the bay area.
I had a roof leak last year and called some companies for repair. The guy walked around the house and took a few pictures and told me I needed a recoat. When I checked online I noticed recoating does not solve leaking so I decided to call more service to check.
And luckily I called Francisco, he immediately told me he recoating does not fix leakage and confirmed with me the roof type I have. And when he arrived at my house to check, he measured roughly where the leakage would be at the roof based on the leaking point inside the house (which previous company did not do). And found the potential leaking spots on the roof (foam) and repaired it the same day. Price was reasonable for the timely repair.

The only reason I am sending this review now is because all of his fixes still stand. My old roof survived through last year's pouring rain and it has not leaked. And that really showed his quality of service.

If you want the best then contact Francisco at Cricket Roofing services. Francisco took his time measuring out the project so that he could get me accurate costs to repair our foam roof and he was able to squeeze our project in between other jobs. Once the project began we found things were worse than originally anticipated. Francisco and his brother Roberto were more than willing to take on the increased work load with only a minor change order necessary to cover increased material and labor. Francisco completed the project on time and was more than happy to show me the progress being made on a daily basis. Some unforeseen rain created some problems for Francisco towards the end of the project but he took the challenge with stride and returned the next day to complete his touch ups.
I have used multiple different foam roofing companies over the years and Cricket is the best by far! As for value, Francisco's bid was very competitive with the others I had received but what really sold me was how passionate he is about his work.

Pro tip: It gets hot working on those roofs. Be sure to supply Francisco and Roberto with some ice cold beverages. They especially like Coca-cola.

Cricket Roofing just finished our new foam roof and we are extremely pleased with the workmanship and look of our roof. We live in an Eichler and had a tar and gravel roof for 30 years. There was a lot of gravel, dirt and tree debris that they cleaned off and went the extra mile in pressure/power washing it so that the new surface would adhere better. We also had additional challenges due to rain and wind. The weather conditions in applying a foam roof have to be precise and if there was just a hint of rain and/or wind in the forecast, Francisco and his team were upfront in letting us know that they could not work even though this would put them behind. Honesty and integrity that is rare these days. In addition, we had some deck boards (tongue and groove) that needed to be replaced. Robert, Francisco's brother, did an amazing job. The crew also cleaned up nicely at the end of each day. So, if you are looking for a foam roof contractor, I would highly recommend you give Cricket Roofing a call. You'll be glad you did.

Francisco and his brother are fantastic! I recently moved into a house in Berkely with a flat roof that was at its end of life and the contractor I'm working with for other repairs and updates recommended Cricket Foam Roofing.

Francisco cares a great deal about creating a roof that will last for years and the final product looks like a work of art. He explained the process clearly and never diverted away from it, he and his brother showed up promptly every day as well. Not only did he do an above and beyond job on the roof, but he also let us know about some other items with the house that if they were not problems yet, they would be soon. For the final inspection, the inspector took one look at the roof and was very impressed with Francisco's system. We live in a flat roof Eichler and just got our new foam roof done by Francisco and the Cricket Roofing team. If you're in the market or planning to do your roof in the future, I highly suggest talking to Francisco. I did my due diligence in talking to a few other foam roofing companies that are highly suggested in the neighborhood and I'm sure you will do the same. After speaking to Francisco, I noticed how honest and passionate he was, really cared about how the foam is sprayed, prep work, the weather conditions, was never pushy, super knowledgable about his craft and just a personable and easy to talk to kind of guy. Someone you can really trust when it comes to a big project like this.

Most of the visits I got when I was getting quotes from the other roofers were quick. They would get on the roof, do a quick measurement and then send you a quote eventually. They always seemed like they were in a hurry lol. Sometimes I didn't even know they already showed up. But with Francisco, the customer service was great and trustworthy. He even asked me to check out the roof with him, and he cut a small part of the tar and gravel where we realized I had three layers of old roofing. This helped our decision to do a complete tear off of the old roof and lighten the load on our roof. I have a feeling the other roofing companies would've just sprayed foam over it and not find out we had so many layers of roofing material already. That's a scary thought!

What matters most is the end result and our new foam roof looks amazing. And with the rain now here, we are seeing how great it is working. Thank you to Francisco and his brother Roberto!

Cricket Roofing and Francisco take such pride in their work and it's rare to come across people with that much passion for what they do. If you are in the market for a foam roof, I couldn't recommend them more for a job this big and important. The qualities that stand out for me are:

TELLING YOU WHAT YOU NEED TO HEAR VS WANT TO HEAR
The first time we talked to Francisco was in the winter and while we saw other foam roofing companies spraying roofs at that time, Francisco advised us that there wasn't enough sunlight during the day for the foam to dry properly. The lack of sun would compromise the quality in the long term and cost us more when the roof needed to be fixed in 10 years. Francisco was willing to lose the job if we wanted to move ahead in the winter, because he was adamant about doing it right so the foam roof lasted a long time. That transparency meant a lot to us, and showed he wasn't just after a quick buck.

DOING IT RIGHT VS DOING IT QUICK
Francisco and team beam with pride when showing off their work and helping others notice the details. There are the crickets that Francisco is known for, and how he makes it seem simple to get water to flow off a flat roof. There are the clean edges where the foam stops which any aesthetically minded homeowner will appreciate. There are the sealed seams that keep water from getting on beams. And there is the netting he put up around the roof before even getting started. After talking with neighbors who had foam roofs sprayed on without a netting, this is a must. They told horror stories of having to throw out their outdoor furniture because so much foam got on it. We had none of these issues with Francisco's work because he took the extra time to do it right.

PROACTIVELY HELPFUL VS ALWAYS SELLING
Our roof was old. Like expect lots and lots of surprises when you open it up, kind of old. We found insulation so old it turned to dust when you touched it. We found other insulation so wet, we were all left wondering how that was possible since it hadn't rained in months. We found parts of the roof that were crooked and ugly. Throughout all of it, Francisco was able to help us figure out how to deal with the unexpected issues without taking advantage of us. He kept any extra work at reasonable prices instead of trying to stick us with big overages. This was not something we experienced with other vendors we have worked with, and are grateful for how Francisco kept things fair. He is someone that really earned our trust.

COORDINATING WITH OTHER VENDORS TO SAVE COSTS
Our roofing job was extra complicated because it was being coordinated with the installation of a Unico AC system, new electrical routing on the roof, and the installation of solar panels. At all key moments, Francisco was on site and saved us time and money. One key moment that stands out is how he worked with the vendors on how some of the ducting should be installed to save on expensive foam costs and ensure there were no places for water to pool on the roof. Also when other parts of the job weren't ending as planned, Francisco seamlessly accommodated the shifting schedule to make sure everything was done the right way.

FAIR PRICING THAT MATCHES THE AMAZING SERVICE & QUALITY
Looking back at the finished product, the price was amazing. Cricket Roofing's bid wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive. It was fair pricing, with exceptional attention to detail, outstanding service, and a focus on giving us a long lasting roof that will save us money in the long run. But if you are the type of person looking for the lowest bid, I will say I would still recommend you go with Francisco. Because once the roof opens up and surprises show up, you want someone like him on your side.

Francisco is a man of integrity who kept us informed throughout our foam roof installation. Even though foam products were very hard to get because of Covid, I am so glad we went with him and his Company ...Cricket Roofing. Very fair cost. Very experienced. Always on time and always returned calls. The foam roof is amazing on how it insulated our home. These recent hot days gave it a good test! Even w/out our air conditioning turned on we were much cooler.
