Crane of Ukiah possesses A & B Contractors Licenses and focuses on Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional construction. Our extensive fabrication and sheet metal shops are equipped with a comprehensive set of tools and talents. We offer drafting services, support project development, assist with site selection, and evaluate options.

Myrl R. Crane began his career in the trades in 1906, following the San Francisco earthquake and fire. By 1914, he was engaged in public works, including the construction of 22 schools. His son, Frank M. Crane, who graduated in civil engineering, took over and grew the business. In 1960, Frank and his son Douglas incorporated Crane of Ukiah Inc, shifting focus from public works to private contracts. Around this time, Doug developed an interest in manufactured metal buildings. After working on numerous school projects and witnessing the decline in lumber quality, he recognized manufactured metal buildings as the future of low-rise construction. His insight has been confirmed through the years. Frank remained involved with the company until his passing in 2002, the same year Doug's son Eric joined Crane of Ukiah. I am the Vice-President and a fourth-generation contractor, having spent my childhood on job sites. I studied Industrial Technology and Business at the university level.
