With A & B Contractors Licenses, we concentrate on Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional projects. Our facilities include a complete fabrication shop and a sheet metal shop, equipped with a wide array of tools and expertise. We offer drafting services, support project development, assist with site selection, and evaluate options.

After the 1906 earthquake and fire, Myrl R. Crane started his journey in the trades in San Francisco. By 1914, he had taken on public works projects, building 22 schools. His son, Frank M. Crane, a civil engineering graduate, took over the business and expanded it. In 1960, Frank and his son Douglas established Crane of Ukiah Inc, transitioning from public works to private projects. It was during this time that Doug grew interested in manufactured metal buildings. After working on numerous school projects and witnessing the decline in lumber quality, he recognized manufactured metal buildings as the future of low-rise construction. This foresight has been validated over the years. Frank continued to contribute to the company until his death in 2002, coinciding with Eric, Doug's son, starting at Crane of Ukiah. As Vice-President and a fourth-generation contractor, I grew up on job sites. I pursued a degree in Industrial Technology and Business at university.
