I think a company should be judged not only for the completed job but how they help you after. I was concerned about the flange around an exhaust pipe on the roof. Mind you the roof install was 3 years ago. I dreaded calling because times are so crazy and thought I may get the run around. Nope, just the opposite! They came out within days and checked and secured all my exhaust pipe flanges AND blew the leaves off my roof!!! More than I ever expected. I have never given a yelp review but I felt they really deserve a thumbs up!!

I was working with Thomas to get a new roof and integrated solar panels = $30k+ project for my home. I was impressed with his follow-up initially.

He sent me multiple (incomplete) roofing quotes that kept changing as the solar proposal was refined. As a result, I had many questions to ensure I understand the total cost, the rebate, the tax credit, etc. At this point, he sent an email to me essentially snubbing me for asking too many questions and jumping to conclusions about my intent. My intent was to work with Crandall on this large project as long as they send me one clear contract and a complete proposal, which I had to request several times. On multiple occasions, Thomas reminded me that Crandall has a lot of projects lined up and that he was very busy!!

I am going with a different (and slightly more expensive) roofer now, one who treats me with respect and courtesy and who values my business.

I called Crandall Roofing to set up an estimate appointment. The lady on the phone was polite and helpful. My estimator showed up on the day of the appointment and was also friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I was looking forward to his estimate. I explained that I was leaving for vacation in a couple days and would be gone for a week, so no rush to get the estimate back right away. Four days after my return with still no emailed estimate, I called and left a message. No reply. I waited a few more days and called again. Hey, I'm flexible, and realize mistakes happen. I'm busy, too. No biggie. I was still interested in considering this company for my new roof. However, This time I spoke to a woman who was disinterested and unapologetic about the lack of communication from Crandall since the estimator visited my home. I gave her my information and asked if she would look into it and give me a call back. No response since. Zip. Nothing. The 2 stars are for the friendly estimator & his professionally done packet of info. So long, Crandall.

had appt. no show was told my appt. was for another date which was wrong would not have made appt. for a date, i was going to be out of town. had another app. no show after waiting 45 min called office was told someone had already been by and that I didn't need to be there yet when they called to confirm appt. I was told YES you need to be there had to take time off work for both times office staff has no idea what they are talking about or what is going on.....

These people are excellent. They came exactly when they said they would, stripped a 4000 square foot roof and detached garage and hauled it all away same day.
The next day the materials were all delivered to the roof using an elevator truck. Some rotted sheeting was found and replaced at a very reasonable additional charge. Shingling was begun midway into the 2nd day and completed on the 3rd day. Clean up was done each day at the end of the day and so far we haven't found a single stray nail.
They were extremely efficient and the contract price was the final price other than some extra for metal vents and plywood sheeting, which could not be known until the shingles were stripped. They even shingled our gazebo at no additional charge.

These guys are awesome! Fantastic job re-roofing our 1634 sq ft home. They started Monday morning and were done before 5 the next day. They even cleaned each day, yard looked better than before they came!

I'm very happy with these guys! Jim came out and gave me a quote when he said he was coming, they stared and finished when they said they would and they did what they said they would do!
Jim remained available when I had questions and took the time to explain the why and how they approached the process and any issues that may arrive. The crew hustled throughout the entire project (no slackers!) and also took the time to respectfully answer questions. In two days my old roof was removed, replaced and they left the grounds as clean and tidy as they found them. It's refreshing the hire someone who does what they say they're going to do for the price they said it would be!

Great job on re-roof. We called 6 companies and Jim was the only one who answered our call. He came out quickly, gave an estimate and completed the job in a timely fashion. Most importantly, he always answered his phone when we called. Thank you Crandall Roofing.
