My garage had been leaking for quite some time, got several bids from reputable, local roofing contractors. Craig came out the same day I called for the bid, emailed it to me that evening. His promptness impressed me.

I had to have a few other things done to the house first, so that delayed his start. Once I gave him the go ahead, they had a cancellation at another job, and fit me in. They were quick, cleaned up very well after, very pleasant guys (if I had to do that for a living, I would not be so pleasant, lol). Also, after removing the old roof, they realized additional work needed to be done - two huge beams needed to be installed, and also several new sections of my exposed wood ceiling in the adjacent office. NO EXTRA CHARGE! His estimate indicated that some structural work would be required, but this was above and beyond what was expected.

COVER ME GREEN ROOFING was an excellent choice. Responsive, fair pricing, excellent work, ethical --- no reason to call anyone else!

We had a good experience with the company 3 years ago when they repaired a roof for us. But this is not the current experience. We left numerous messages for Craig to help with a roof/stair repair issue, and did not receive a call back for a week+. He finally came out and gave us an estimate to repair the damage. We called back approving the estimate and requesting that work begin ASAP as we had a small leak in the house in the area of the requested repairs. It has now been 3 weeks and we have never heard from him or his company. I would expect a call advising that he could not or did not want do the repair or schedule for work to begin. This is very poor customer service and will never call Cover Me Green again.

Craig and his team did a wonderful job. They not only fulfilled everything they mentioned in the quote but was willing to check out the roof on the main house for a few maintenance tasks (Sealing past work/painting). All of the workers were polite and ready to work. I would use Cover Me Green again!

Based on the reviews I expected a reputable company who is diligent enough to return a phone call. After receiveing my estimate, I called Craig and the office several times to set up a roof replacement and never received a call back.
Don't waste your time with this company!

I had a good time working with Craig and his team. They were not the lowest quote I got, but the price wasn't too bad, and it was an ""all inclusive"" price. Basically, other roofers will quote the roof and then in the small print will add charges by the linear or square foot for rotted wood replacement, fascia, etc. Craig gave one price and stuck to it, even with all the rotted wood that needed replacing and some fascia work. That was nice.

The team was on time and worked quite diligently. They also cleaned up very nicely, and even hauled some other trash to landfill out from some other work I had going on, and saved me the hauling fee.

But in the end what matters is the roof, and I have no complaints. Craig's team are craftsman, and did a great job on the details, including an area of flat roof which required torch down, shingle layering at the slope intersections, sealing on two skylights, addition of a new set of passive louvres for the attic, replacement of the whirlybird, etc etc. They even sprayed the various penetrations and standpipes to match.

The roof really looks great, and most importantly Craig came through on both his schedule and his quoted price. I will definitely recommend him to friends or family that need a roof done.

Craig just finished a 20 unit (2 buildings) project for me in Long Beach. Craig was very responsive from our initial call until the job was done. His professional experience and advise on our building lead us to the decision to have him do the job. Cover me Green is also very competitive on price and did more than what was in the contract and did not hit us for extras. When I replace the roof on my personal residence Craig will be the first person I call.

Our families 8 unit apartment building was in dire need of a new roof. Cover Me Green was referred to us by our property managment company. We did obtain other roofing bids but chose Craig Van Duren and Cover Me Green roofing because he didn't try to up-sell us and we felt he could meet our roofing needs and budget. Craig and his crew were very professional. They arrived on-time (and even early). They were respectful to our tenants, and cleaned up the job site at the end of each day. Craig stuck to the schedule and was finished on-time ( the job took 3 1/2 days), he returned every call I made and answered every question ( and there were many, lol), I had before and after the job. He was also very accommodating to my last minute request to add a layer of smooth roofing around the perimeter and critical areas to provide extra insurance against leaks in the future (we have a flat roof :-( ) Our roof looks amazing! I definitely recommend Cover Me Green and owner Craig Van Duren.

Came to my house for an emergency on a Saturday after hours to fix a leak hours before a storm was approaching. He was a very nice person and knows his craft very well. He did a great job! THANK YOU CRAIG! You saved my tail, and my new home.

Our garage roof center beam cracked in 3 places due to old age, prior owners cutting out rafters and the rain we had. We called about 4 roofing companies and heard back from 3 who said they where to busy and couldn't take on another job. A week after I called Cover Me Green roofing I get a random call from Craig saying he was busy due to rain and was just getting back to me. We had no rain for a week prior to my call to him or until he called me, just fyi.
STRIKE ONE!

He then says he will come on out and do a bid. We wait and no response. I call him again a few days later and get a response oh yeah... well how about I stop by this weekend. Comes by assess the damage and advises it can be done. We wait another couple days for the bid and email him again. He then writes it up and sends it over. (Are you seeing a pattern?) The bid was perfect and in line with what we can afford and a little below other bids. Since he was such a nice person, pleasant to talk to and the bid was detailed, we figured lets hire him.

We wait another week with no response, more emails sent to get a response. His response, ""I am looking into time to get you on my books."" This goes on for about 2 weeks.
STRIKE TWO!

In my email to him 2 weeks prior to getting him to respond, I let him know of a 3 day weekend coming up and I will make myself available if he can do it. Since we had no response, I made other plans for Valentine's day and the day following. Well, we finally after a month get him to commit to a day. Mind you, this whole time our roof is being held up by a make shift wedged 2 by 4 holding up the center beam. Anyway, the day he commits to just so happens to be Valentine's Day. So we cancel our plans for leaving town so we can get this done. WELLLLLLLLLLLL,,,,,,,,

Friday night 7pm we are home watching T.V. and we get an email.. NOT A PHONE CALL, an email saying my guys wanted a 3 day weekend so we wont be doing to job tomorrow morning at 9am. WHAT???!!! NOT EVEN A 24hr NOTICE?? We just set this up the day before and confirmed the 3 day weekend and he said no problem!
STRIKE THREE YOU'RE OUT!

We send him a very frustrated and unhappy email with no response until Sunday. He then states to us, yeah sorry about that but maybe I can round up 4 guys to do the job on Monday but just so you guys know I need some well deserved time off so I will be gone Tuesday, Wed and Thursday. OK REALLY? So he doesn't know if he can get workers to do the job but we should put our lives on hold again and HOPE he shows up, BUT also if they don't get the job done we have to wait until he comes back from vacation???? HELL NO!

Craig seems like a very nice man but as a business man, he should be fired! His disregard for keeping a schedule is simply unacceptable. I do believe his business relies on the large commercial roofing jobs and not residential. It is a shame he has no business ethics because we have several friends waiting to see how our roofing is so they can do theirs. He would have had at least 3 referrals.

Do yourself a favor and don't chose him unless you have all the time in the world for him to show up and complete the job. What a shame!
