Cornerstone is one among a couple of roofers I called. The owner called and explained the process. But it is his daughter paid a visit and she came with booklets and roof material samples. The thing I liked is that her patience. She sounds honest and she offered some nice upgrades. Did not sign the contract at once. But I did some online checks myself on the materials they offered and the types of vents they agreed to use. I liked their proposal and decided to hire them. After I signed the contract, they replaced my roof in two days, which surprised me. The people who did my roof are nice too.

After baseball-sized hail struck this spring, a neighbor had recommended contacting Cornerstone Roofing and Remodeling. I met with Jerry Reyes, he came to my house, showed me the quality of the GAF roofing material that would be used, and recommended replacing the roof vents with a ridge vent. When discussing the price, he was very clear with his charges, he said he would accept the insurance payment as full payment.
The crew that came out was courteous and friendly, but also got after it! They were able to remove and replace the roof in one day, so there was no danger of an overnight thunderstorm to cause water issues. When they removed the shingles, they removed it all the way to the wood decking, and didn't leave the old torn tar paper, and replaced it with a newer better tougher product. The roof looks great, and the ridge vent really sets the look of the roof off. Another crew later came out and replaced the seamless gutters in only a few hours.
Today, Jerry came back out to collect payment, and there were no surprises. The price was exactly the same despite some tough negotiating he did with the insurance company.
In the final analysis, I found Jerry to be honest and upstanding, and he sands behind his company and his product. I would definitely use him again, and would recommend him to anyone needing a quality roof replaced the right way.

What a mistake! We had Jerry and one of his reps in our home shortly after the hail storm in April. We were promised, and signed a contract stating, they would take care of ALL the damage, roof, deck, gutters, garage door, painting, windows and screens. What a nightmare. We have about 2 weeks left before our insurance company deadline for full payment and still have no new deck, no painting and no schedule for getting anything done. Phone calls go unreturned, voice mail is full you can't leave a message, and there is a constant blame game as to why things haven't been done. Now Jerry has hurt his back and it sounds like even less is being done. They just don't seem to care about anything they promised or keeping any kind of schedule. The worst part is they told my husband they did 8 houses on Auger Lane, right around the corner from us! They had time to do 8 houses in our neighborhood but they don't have time to finish ours. Very disappointed. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

I couldn't be more happy with these guys. Jaime came out to our house to fix the siding on our house. Not only did do exactly what we wanted, he was also extremely nice and got the job finished in one day. I strongly recommend them!

The Cornerstone Roofing representative in Marble Falls, TX tried to pressure my 84 year old mother into signing a contract the day he inspected her metal roof in Marble Falls after the most recent hail damage. I spoke with the gentleman and told him I would like a written proposal on the work he proposed to do for her roof and he flat refused to provide me with one. He said ""If I had to provide a written quote to every roof I inspected I would never get anything done"". I told him that if we were going to use him we needed to know what his scope of work covered and what materials he proposed to use in the replacement of her metal roof. He still refused to provide anything in writing and then had the nerve to say he would need money for the metal roof panels up front. Needless to say, she did not use him.

I had another reputable metal roofing supplier inspect the roof and in his opinion the roof was not damaged and did not need to be replaced. I later inspected the roof myself and found no damage to the metal roof. Beware of ""storm chasers"".

Can I give a negative rating? This company sent a rep to our home that pressured us to sign a contract with him that day. He made promises to us to help with our insurance company that he did not comply with. Our hail damage was done in March 2009 and we still do not have our repairs completed.
