Called Cornell Roofing on a rainy, windy night when my husband came home home from work to find a leak in our kitchen ceiling. I called the office the next day and the customer service representative was courteous and sympathetic to our predicament. She advised that she would get out an installer later on in the afternoon and he would call before coming over. I advised her of my sporadic schedule with my five year old and she was understanding and accommodating.
The representative that they sent out was Steve. Steve was prompt and articulate. He explained what they were going to do and look at, and advised me that if possible they would be able to repair my roof today. True to his word he diagnosed the problem and fixed it promptly. He looked at my roof as a whole and advised me of one thing that he recommended I complete promptly to preserve the longevity of the roof. When he spoke to me he was calm, thoughtful and resourceful as to how to fix the immediate problem as well as the long term goal of preserving the roof. He had an action plan in mind and advised me that a representative will be in touch to schedule the follow up work. He remained patient and kind but knowledgeable of his work and what he thought needed to be done in a timely manner.
I wouldn't say I am a hypercritical customer in general. However, I do have high expectations for myself and extend the same to others. As a representative for Cornell Roofing, Steve met these expectations with ease. He was both articulate and sure of his assessment but also kind and empathetic of large financial investments like needing to replace a whole roof.
Based on my experience so far with Cornell Roofing, and specifically with Steve I would gladly recommend this company to others, as well as use it in the future for our roofing needs.

This operation is TOP NOTCH!!! I called them for some simple roof repair that needed to get done during the rain season. They were extremely helpful and accommodating... they completely understood our predicament with the eminent rain and made adjustments to make our repairs a reality before the heavy rain. The prices are reasonable, the customer service is AWESOME, and I'm happy to spread the word for all folks looking for roof work and honors customer service.

As I tell every company, they write their own Yelp review, I just put it into words and post it. My experience with Cornell Roofing began on Monday April 4th when I called the office to schedule an appointment for a free estimate! The President, Clint, showed up the very next morning, within the hour window I was given. He spent time explaining the process, as well as climbing up on to the roof to take measurements and make suggestions on other improvements. (Another vent on the roof was recommended!) He left me with a sample board of shingles and said I'd have a quote in my email by Friday. Friday came and my quote arrived. It was within the ballpark I had in my head, but I felt the need to do my due diligence and get 2 other quotes because this was my first time ever getting a new roof. While all 3 quotes were within $400 of each other, there was just something about Cornell and my gut was telling me that was the right choice. I scheduled a date and Clint's crew was right on time and eager to get to work. Even with rain in the forecast these guys got after it, prepared for everything! They worked a full day the first day and got in 2 1/2 hours the following day before the rains took over. They completely tarped my roof off and said that if I noticed any leaks in the house to call and someone would immediately come over. Luckily they battened down the hatches well and that didn't happen. They came back on Monday and finished the job! Upon my own little inspection, I noticed one of the eaves on the back porch, they spliced a piece of 2x4 and put it back in place with screws. The wood split and wasn't acceptable in my eye. I took a couple of pix on my phone and emailed them to Clint that evening explaining my dissatisfaction. The next day I heard one of the crew on the phone with Clint who was explaining the issue with the 2x4. Instead of cutting it and re-splicing, they replaced the entire piece and apologized for having had that issue in the first place. The crew worked their asses off. They were always on time, polite and professional, and they did a really nice of job cleaning up after themselves at the end of the day! I couldn't be happier and will definitely use them again in the future and recommend you do too!

I have used them to do roof repairs and they are really solid.
They also do seasonal maintenance for us at our home and both of our apartment buildings.

I've used others and they were either over priced or flat out unethical.

Please consider them as I think roofers are the hardest to find that are good and reasonable.
I work in real estate and I've had a few clients use them and nothing but compliments

We called Cornell this morning about a rain gutter repair. The gutter had come away from the house. Ronnie came out right away, checked out the problem, and gave us a minimum hourly rate estimate. We told him to go for it and he started immediately. The job looks great. We're looking at a new roof next summer but this repair will get us through to then even with El Nino. We'll be calling Cornell when we do the whole roof.

I had Clint come out to my home to give me a free quote on a section of my roof that needed repair. He was on time, friendly, and a knowledgeable professional. While viewing the problem he also identified other troublesome areas and recommended the best way to prevent any further damage. After inspecting the roof he quoted me a very fair price on the spot and proceeded with work shortly after I signed and returned the work agreement. From here on out, any roofing needs I have will be done by Cornell. I wouldn't take chances with anyone else and neither should you.

If I could give Cornell Roofing 10 stars, I would! Clint Sr and the entire team have gone above and beyond to patch my weathered roof until I can replace it. They have been to my property on multiple occasions to make repairs and they even repaired some spots on my roof that were not written up on the work order. As a Cancer patient, all I have the energy to do is to get well. Cornell Roofing has taken the worry out of my leaking roof and now I will enjoy the rainy days with my family. From the friendly receptionists to the knowledgeable staff, to the owner coming out and working on my roof himself, Cornell Roofing has exceeded my expectations. As a landlord and investment property owner, I'm glad that I have a trustworthy, reliable, reasonably priced roofer in my contacts that I can call to get the job done.

Wonderful company! Wonderful new roof!
From their estimator and front office, to the roofers and the owner I can't say enough. They where responsive and easy to work with from the start. I received a competitive bid and was well educated on how they would proceed with the work. I needed to have my roof replaced quickly. They where able to fit me in a week ahead of schedule, which was great. They showed up on time each day, worked hard, and kept a clean job site. They finished the job right on time and at a fair price. All around a pleasure to work with.

Im an electrical contractor. We did a service change in the Orinda area. The rains came right after we performed the work and we needed a roofer immediately to help us patch a hole that we had to put in the roof.

I called a few different roofers and because of the complexity of the roof i was recommended to Clint at Cornell Roofing. They got us on there schedule asap. Clint came out and did a great patch job and they had reasonable prices. i highly recommend them, and will definitely use them again.
