Company Overview
Headquartered in Medley, Florida, Construction Research Laboratory stands as the first-ever curtain wall test center, accommodating upwards of 30 wall mock-ups at the same time.
Since its inception in 1955, Construction Research Lab has evaluated over 3,500 full-scale curtain walls along with more than 3,500 windows, doors, roofs, and other related components for major structures like the Sears Tower in Chicago, the World Trade Center in New York, Hong Kong Bank, Bank of China (Hong Kong), the World Financial Center in Battery Park, New York, Canary Wharf in London, and the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur.
As a comprehensive research facility, Construction Research Lab specializes in testing various building products, focusing on air infiltration, water infiltration (both static and dynamic), structural integrity, interstory differential movement, seismic racking, impact resistance, thermal cycling, and condensation resistance.
With 38 test chambers ranging from 5 ft to 38 ft wide and over 40 ft high, the lab routinely performs tests that adhere to the standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials, now ASTM International, the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA), and the Florida Building Code for curtain walls, skylights, windows, and doors.
The laboratory is recognized worldwide and is accredited by the AAMA, Miami-Dade County, and the State of Florida.
Our committed team strives daily to deliver the highest quality facility and analysis for our clients.
