We started Construction by Southern Roots with a commitment to customer service. After observing numerous construction companies take advantage of homeowners, we aimed to build a company that genuinely helps customers.

Post Hurricane Ian, Southern Roots Construction completed an ""emergency tarp to close in exposed roof"". I contacted Southern Roots Construction to remove the tarps and complete the roof, however, there was no response. Another post-hurricane provider was inspecting the roof and took photos of the roof. Per the other provider, ""There are hundreds of [rusty] cap nails that held down the tarp along each side of the ridge of the roof"". I contacted Southern Roots Construction about the concern. I also provided photos. Three things - 1. Initially there was no response. 2. When I finally received a response ""Silly question but why didn't the roofers removed the nails"". 3. The next response was ""Where on the invoice does it state that we are responsible to remove the nails used to secure the tarp"". Again, I was unable to have Southern Roots Construction remove the tarps and complete the roof because there was no response. Southern Roots Construction's customer service was horrible. I now need to have the nails that they used to secure the tarp, removed. The out of pocket expense to remove the nails is expensive.

Poor communication. Lack of integrity. Poor quality. Unprofessional. Lack of human kindness.
