The Conner Group traces its roots back to 1901 when Charlie Conner, a farmer and Master Carpenter, started a business in the Dallas area. His journey started with lending his craftsmanship to farmers in need of barn construction. He quickly saw that his love for carpentry could benefit his family. In the 1920s, his son, J.O. Conner, joined the flourishing business and became a member of the Carpenters Union. At the time of his death in 1996, J.O. held the title of the oldest active member of the Carpenters Union in the country. J.O. carried on his father's legacy, constructing numerous homes, churches, and commercial buildings in the then-open spaces of North Dallas near Forest Lane. Now, five generations later, Terry Griffith, Charlie's great-great-grandson, leads the family business with a focus on remodeling, new home design, and construction. In 2013, Roydon McCullough became part of the team, representing the sixth generation of the family business.
