Growing up, I observed my father fix and restore various items in our household. If anything was thrown away, such as a TV or car, he would salvage it and bring it back to life. I recall one Christmas when he crafted a full replica of Santa Claus in his sleigh, complete with lights, and placed it on our roof. He was incredibly handy and, in my eyes, a genius! I dreamed of being like him, but as a girl in the 50s, that was a challenge. Consequently, I put my dreams on hold and attended college. After graduating at the top of my class, I entered Corporate America. During weekends and free time, I honed my skills in different trades. For thirty years, I worked on home improvement projects of every size before establishing my own company—Concierge Renovations.
