Growing up, I observed my father fix and restore various items in our household. Whenever something was discarded, like a washer or toaster, he would bring it home and fix it. One Christmas, he handmade a complete Santa Claus in his sleigh, lit up and displayed on our roof. In my view, he was exceptionally skilled and a true genius! I aspired to be like him, but being a girl in the 50s posed challenges. So, I set aside my dreams and pursued a college education. After excelling in high school, I graduated and entered the corporate world. During weekends and free time, I honed my skills in different trades. Over thirty years, I completed numerous home improvement jobs and ultimately started my own business—Concierge Renovations.
