I was selling my home in Selma and the home inspector turned up 6 (six) asphalt shingles that were not even together but had nicks and some loose flashing on a 10 year old house. It's San Antonio... (eye roll.) The buyer wanted a new roof or excuse for ""money back"" for it. It did not leak and was not overly worn and is precisely the same as every other roof in the community. There was a spot where I spilled a little paint while repainting the eaves 3 years ago that was never going to come off, but that was cosmetic. My realtor highly recommended Compass Roofing Systems because she said they were honest and their work was good. I was skeptical because most roofers are in the business of selling roofs, right? Much to my surprise, Compass Roofing Systems, instead of recommending some pricey renovations, was able to put on a sealant for $500, secure the flashing, clean the gutters and cover a few exposed nails. When the buyer then continued to demand more unnecessary repairs...or money on the roof (it passed the VA Appraisal), they were willing to stand by their work and provided the documentation by taking rooftop pictures and demonstrating that it was exactly like every roof stretching for MILES! Because of this experience, I would trust Compass Roofing with sealants for extending the life of an existing roof, or assessing the need, OR how much of a need... for a new roof! Honesty and economy for customers being a REAL TRUE BLUE value! They did great work and I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for roofing in the future!
