Every single time it rains, we do a little dance at home -- not really for the much-needed rain, but rather for our new roof. We couldn't be more pleased with the work by Collins Roofing.

I was immediately impressed by Michael Collins when I met him. You know how you just know right away when someone's a good egg? I knew immediately that Michael would be solid in the running for our job, and that it would be a pleasure working with him.

He showed up punctually for our first meeting, took thorough notes, was very clear about how he would proceed and what to expect of him and his crew, and his office provided a thorough and substantive estimate quickly. We had a number of bids, and while his was one of the pricier ones, it also came with the most significant warranty. It also seemed evident that his workmanship would stand up to that longer-lasting warranty.

One thing to keep in mind is that because they're good, they book up quickly, especially as the rainy months start to draw near. If your work can hold off and fit into their schedule, you will be glad you waited.

Remember, there may be a lull in between the time you ""pull the trigger"" (signing the contract), and the start of your project. Be patient through this lull because there's really no need to gab. Of course, if you *do* have something to discuss, or have questions, they'll happily answer. Otherwise, you can expect a rapid increase in the communications as things gear up. You'll choose your shingles, any gutters and colors, and such.

The week before work started, the Collins team ensured that a port-a-potty was delivered for use by their crew for the duration of the project. The team started to arrive before the noted start time, but were considerate and respectfully quiet for our neighbors. Work began punctually when we expected it to.

Sometimes you don't know how good something is until you experience the difference. We were seriously spoiled by the Collins Roofing team, and now appreciate not just their punctuality and work ethic, but how much they enjoy their work. They enjoy being around each other, and when people are respected, appreciated, and enjoy their work, it shows in the results.

One of the photos I'm attaching to this review shows the detached shed which was also re-roofed. It was here that I witnessed a prime example of their commitment to quality. After the flashing was in place, I saw one crewmember run his finger over the corner several times. Barely perceptible from where I was standing (and the angle where I shot the subsequent photo), there was a slight imperfection in the way the edges met. I could hardly see it, and only knew that something was there by the attention he was giving to it. After running his fingers over the corner a number of times, he choose to remove it and re-do it. How does the saying go? ""Character is how you behave when you think no one is watching.""

During the course of the work, the Collins crew found a fair amount of previous damage, and rather than just work over it, they described options to repair the damage on a time and materials basis. This is where a shady contractor can gouge you; but despite the nearly two extra days of work added to remove and recover from the previous shoddy work, the add-on cost was shockingly reasonable.

I cannot say enough good things about this business, and am only sorry that I have but one roof to replace.

We couldn't have been happier with the service we received from Seamus during a rainy period in January when our roof leak happened! We live under trees and mammoth sized pinecones and damage happens. He was on it quickly and repaired it successfully at the cost estimated. The office was super professional and recommend them highly. We would use them again in a heartbeat if needed for any other repair.

Quick repair needed after a huge branch from a cypress tree broke off in a storm and pierced through the decking on our roof. They were out next day to assess/estimate and a few days later it was all done. Fast, professional and the price was absolutely reasonable.

Seamus and his team are top professionals. They came out, reviewed the roof, came back with two options for solutions/repair and a quote within 2 days. They were repairing the roof a few days later and the whole job completed in 4 days. Prompt, professional and great communicators. Neat as well.

High praise for Seamus Collins and his crew. Seamus is the nicest most pleasant guy to work with. He did little extras too, like while he was up on a ladder he noticed a loose thingamajig that really has nothing to do with the roof, and just fixed it because he knew he could do it easily enough while up there. Lots of little extra touches like that that are most appreciated. The crew was like a well-oiled machine, efficient and friendly. Everyone was masked up through the whole process. I'd been dreading having roof work done for years, and it turned out to be much less painful than I'd expected.

Very happy with the repair and the service. Seamus came out and gave us a quote and answered all our questions. They were able to do the work a few days later. Everyone wore a mask and followed social distancing guidelines. Would happily recommend them and if we need work on our roof again in the future we will definitely use them again.

We happily recommend Collins Roofing - they did a great job on our steep roof, atop a two-story home. We had a complete tear-off down to skip-sheathing, installed plywood, then a roof and new gutters.
Recommended by a personal contact, Collins was the mid-priced bid of the three bids we solicited. We liked the longevity of their company and that they keep their workers year round, building their expertise and teamwork. It is a generous way to run a business.

They used a series of large, experienced crews that executed quickly. Collins handled the interface and payment with the different teams/subcontractors (scaffolding, tear-off, rain gutters), which was helpful. The whole job, tear-off to rain gutters, took about one week. Communication was good - they always had a principal on site, Seamus Collins himself or a family member, so it was easy to ask questions. They cleaned up well and seemed to work safely.

Collins Roofing lived up to our expectations that they could be trusted to do a great job and protect our property with their depth of experience and high-quality execution.

What more can I add to the plethora of five star reviews?! Collins crew installed an entire roof shingle overlay, added vents, cleaned gutters, repaired areas with rodent damage, and installed gorgeous new insulation in our attic. I'm thoroughly impressed by these guys and would hire them again in a heartbeat. Also loved that there was always a Collins on premises and the clean up was meticulous. By the way, I didn't seek other bids as theirs seemed very reasonable.
