We had a very good experience with Collins Roofing. It started inauspiciously because the winter rains meant they had to schedule us pretty far out and then bump that date a little, too. The communication wasn't great, in my opinion.

However... once they got going it was wham, bam, and done! Quick work! Nice guys. No mess. No tromping over our plants or anything.

They also set up the code enforcement guy's visit, which wouldn't have occurred to me. I had no idea code enforcement even cared. (LPT: The code enforcement guy came into our house, which was a mess :( and inspected the smoke detectors. That part was a surprise.)

Now our roof looks great!

AND... we're within the time frame that homeowner's insurance companies like to see before they'll insure a house, so now we can finally shop around for some new insurance.

I definitely recommend Collins Roofing.

Responsive, professional, friendly outfit. They came out within days of my first contact. Seamus determined our roof is good for another 8-10 years, but pointed out we have some trim/caulking issues a painter can deal with. He noted that we need ventilation, which I asked him to give us an estimate for. An estimate came right away, now we just need to act. When it's time for the roof, I'll be sure to call Collins. Seamus was honest, low key, and very knowledgeable.

A new roof and one year later we are still so happy with Collins and our roof. Our roof is very funky--a combination of flat and several pitched areas. We tried repairing several leaking spots over the years before accepting that what we needed was a full roof replacement. We had a modest budget, did a lot of research and received several bids for a complete roof replacement. Collins was reasonably priced and they did not exceed their estimate. The hardest part was waiting for an opening in their schedule. Collins is definitely worth the wait! They even came out to patch a leaking area during a downpour when we were waiting for our roof work to start (and they did this for no extra charge) Once here they worked quickly and were very clean. Their crew was also great--I especially loved how hardworking, professional and friendly their team was--I heard a lot of singing and laughing up there as our new roof went in. My only note of caution is not about Collins but just about their recommended contractor (Chris McDermot) who I would not recommend. McDermot did an awful job resetting a tricky window before the roof could go down. Collins Roofing is fabulous--this is an exceptional small family business. Thanks Collins~

If I could give 10 stars, I would! I had a terrific experience with Collins Roofing, from start to finish. Seamus is a pleasure to work with, as is his friendly and professional crew. They finished the roof in three days, one day sooner than anticipated, by bringing in more workers. I am very happy with the new roof. They also replaced areas of dryrot with new redwood. Every day, the crew left a clean work site, and it was immaculate at the end. The cost was reasonable and fair, and as expected according to the estimate. There was a additional charge to remove an extra layer of roof (I had 5!) and to fix the dryrot, which is completely fair. Seamus is readily available and responds promptly to any questions. I can't recommend Collins Roofing highly enough!

Kieran and crew did a fantastic job fixing some poorly installed flashing on our roof. They were quick, organized, fairly priced and made me feel very comfortable with the process.

He even followed up with me via a phone call about a week later (after it rained) to make sure all was well.

What a fantastic company, my only complain is that they're not doing more home related projects outside of roofing because I'd hire them for EVERYTHING.

I really appreciate the great job Collins Roofing did on the new roof I got in the fall of 2013. Everyone was professional and personable. They had to tear off two or three old roofs since the prior owners just kept slapping roofs on top of each other. They also installed two skylights that I love every day. I had planned to get fixed skylights but Micheal Collins suggested that I get the opening kind for just a bit more and I'm really glad he convinced me to. I got several bids and Collins was the best combination of pricing and professionalism. About a year after I got the roof, a neighbor's tree fell partially on my house and Collins Roofing inspected the damages and made some minor repairs right away. Three years later my roof and skylights are holding up great.

Seamus and his crew were fast, clean, and did great work. Their bid was in the middle of the pack, but the service was top notch. They were very responsive to our requests. Its the little things... like most firms that I spoke to weren't going to put down plastic in the attic to catch the old wood shingles that fell through. Putting down plastic was part of Collin's base bid. I'm happy and my house is happy.

We just got our new roof installed by Collins Roofing. I would highly recommend them. They were all very professional. Seamus, Mike and Kieran all visited and explained in detail what needed to be done and what was happening all throughout the process. They were very nice and easy to talk to. Their crew worked very hard, were very polite and did a fantastic cleanup job at the end of each day. They even cleaned up after the insulation crew! They were on time every day and got the job done quickly with no delays. The price was good. I got a number of quotes and they were in the middle of the range.

Seamus Collins came out to inspect the roof of a recently purchased home. He told us the roof was 5-10 years old and we did not require a new roof. Seamus, however, pointed out several areas of the roof that needed minor attention to make sure we maintained the roof and keep it in good condition. My assessment is that Collins Roofing is an honest company that will not replace your roof just to replace your roof to make a sale. Their recommendation to hire a handyman to repair some minor roof problems as a result of normal wear and tear was extremely helpful and appreciated. When our roof needs to be replaced we will use Collins Roofing.
