They asked for the payment in advance and never finish the job, it is always an excuse to postpone it. Do not sign a contract with this company, it will be a nightmare for having the job done.
OMG! The worst. The guy running the job is seriously obnoxious. They knocked the cable wires down while doing the roofing and left trash all over my yard. They left equipment all over the place and didn't come back for it for over a week after finishing the work. My family wouldn't hire them again and do not recommend them. A friend in Oakland Park says they just finished her roof and they messed up by covering an a.c. vent.
Charlie S.I have used and recommended this company for almost 30 years. They have have put new roofs on 3 of my houses and have done a fantastic job. They have put on roofs for two of my family members and at least 10 other friends. Each time they have done excellent work. I consider Gary & Debbie to be honest and trustworthy and dependable. I highly recommend this company!

The only roofing contractor I've used for many many projects in 25 years.
When they do a job, it is done once, its done right and I've never have to call them back for anything!
Thanks Coastal

Drew P.Having had roofs replaced before, I have to say that it's not a neat or easy process. What I like about Coastal is they take extra care in their finishing. For example, they use end caps on gables, and on my model in particular, they finished the intersection of the gable and slope with tile, not try to box it in with aluminum like others do. Overall, we're very happy with the finished product.
When we signed with them, they were very good and did the job. Less than a few months later, we had an issue with the roof and extreme flooding. We have not heard back in over 3 weeks. Terrible customer service and they don't answer their phone or email. When we reached out 3 weeks ago, they said they would send someone. We are still waiting to hear back.... Crazy.
My neighbor had contacted and contracted with Coastal Roofing regarding an entire re-roofing. During the tearing off of the roof,
a very large truck to drop off supplies, made large RUTS IN MY LAWN.
Not wanting to be a bad neighbor I spoke with the neighbor which roof was being torn off. And advised him of the situation ; He assure me that he would speak with the supervisor on scene to place sand/ dirt in the ruts.
After several days on waiting for the repair to be conducted I called the office of COASTAL ROOFING ( 954 ) 563-7193. The receptionist was very polite and advised me that she would contact the proper parties involved, in order to get some sand dispersed on my lawn.
It has been over TWO weeks and nobody ever returned a phone call to me nor delivered the sand.
I am very fortunate to have a fantastic neighbor who personally hired someone to fix the problem.

I WOULD NOT CONTRACT WITH THEM, I CANT IMAGINE WHAT IF A SERIOUS PROBLEM NEED ATTENTION...
(today is 3.5 weeks from the time that I called the office and still NO REPLY...all they needed to do was at this point apologize for the delay or perhaps miscommunication... :( and I would not have posted this.
Homeowners insurance noticed us they would not renew our insurance because our roof over 20 years old. Called Coastal Roofing, came out, inspected our roof, said a little maintenance you will be good. Got to love an honest company. You ever need roofing done, call them! Roof looks brand new. BTW, they are the original company that did this roof before we even bought the house, and we purchased in 1996! Talk about a company standing behind their work, and quality work. They saved us bundled of money!
John A.I gave one star because I couldn't give NO STARS. They took our deposit in February saying they would start the job in April. They didnt start until July. They had the lowest quote and i knew other people that had used them. The latest person having a bad experience but everyone else had a good experience... i guess their business has taken a turn for the worse.
When they ripped off my roof, I got home to see the dump truck parked in my driveway with plastic underneath because it leaked oil. Well they didnt secure the plastic well and the wind blew it back so their truck leaked diesel oil on my driveway. There were multiple trucks parked on my lawn for no apparent reason since everything was going in the dump truck. They broke several of my sprinklers and left trash everywhere. Then i found Corona light beer bottles thrown in my bushes, one was in the palm in the front yard, another thrown in bushes next to shed on east side on the property, and 6 more thrown in the fern on the west side of my property. I called to ask about the progress and very nicely told the lady that i didnt mind them drinking after the job was done for the day, but please throw the bottles in the garbage. She told me rather rudely that there was no way it was her guys because they dont drink on the job and that it was probably neighborhood kids. I explained that the bottles were found in three dofferent corners of the property so it was not someone throwing them over the fence, but she still denied it was her guy, even though they were all spanish speaking and the bottles were mexican beer.
I told her about all the nails and tin tags in the yard and she said she could have a guy roll the magnet over the yard... so why didnt they just do that in the first place instead of me having to ask!!! Of course the magnet did not pick up the tin tags.
There was various wrappers from roofing materials strewn about, and multiple watter bottle labels and caps around, as well as straps that the tiles were strapped with.
When the old roof was torn.off, the submitted a bill to us for an additional 4000 dollars for wood to be replaced. Now I'm not an expert but i would think they could redo ALL the plywood on my 1100 sq ft house for under 4000 dollars. And, of course there is no way to check since they tarpaper over it that day.
They did not bring the tiles for another 2 and a half months, so my electric bill was double for 3 months in the middle of summer. When i called to find out about the tile, Deb blamed the delay on the tile company in Hialeah not delivering the tile when they were supposed to. Well, when the tile finally arrived, it was the wrong color, i had ordered cedar tan tile and the sent white tiles.
The tile company offered a 500 dollar discount to use the white tile and i took it because i just wanted to get my roof finished.
When i mentioned my electric bill being doubke, she just laughed and said she would trade bills with me because her electric bill is 600 dollars a moth.
After telling me for 2 months that the tiles would be there that week and never calling me to keep me updated on the progress, Deb was calling everyday to get paid before the job was even completed. They had to return to replace a tile that barely had any white paint on it... why the tile layer would even use such a tile is beyond me. They came back 3 times to clean up the garbage and never cleaned up anything. Deb even sent me pictures of my yard saying there were no tin tags found and no wayer bottle garbage. When i got home from work, i sent her about 25 pictures of garbage around the yard. 5 guys showed up two days layer to clean it up.
I also had them replace all the fascia, which was done wrong. I told Deb about the huge gap between the fascia and the soffet and she said that it should be taken care of by whoever is painting it.. that would be me. When i had my brother look at it for his opinion, he said the reason there was such a big gap was because they didnt nail the fasvia in properly, they only nalied it at the top istead of top and bottom. I called the city to have the inspector verify that it was not installed properly before i confronted her about it. The inspector verified that they ony had one nail in each joice, dont know if thats how you spell it, when there should have been 3 nails per joice. He also mentioned that they used the wrong nails to secure the fascia, and they had used wood that was split in some locations.
I called Deb to tell her what the inspector said, and all she could say was ""why was the inspector out there""... I told her i called to ask about the fascia since it dodnt look like it was installed properly
I REALLY WISH I WOULD HAVE LOOKED ON YELP FIRST SO I DIDNT NEED TO GO THROUGH ALL OF THIS!!!!
They did a great job on my complete roof replacement, clean efficient service. I got 6 estimates and they were the lowest price and provided the same materials and services. The job foreman Gary was highly experienced and made sure all workers were doing a great job. I would highly recommend them to any homeowner.
