Our roofing repair started about 4 months ago and still is not complete. This company is not professional at all. When called to state our concerns, we got nothing but excuses and lies from Debbie's mouth. Looks like they have booked 7 or 8 houses simultaneously. We had to suffer their consequences of incompetence. You've been warned, stay away from coastal roofing from Oakland Park. First and last for me. That Debbie is terrible and has zero customer service skills. She hangs up the phone in our faces. If I could, I would give them zero star.

Gary at Coastal Roofing did a commercial flat roof for me / us in 1993. He was the manager of the company. The roof was good for 10 years we did not have any issues. After that little problems began to occur. That is to be expected on a flat commercial roof in Florida. In 2018 I had Coastal Roofing come out and do a second new roof. The quality did not seem quite as good as 1993, but again it was the only roof I could afford. In 1993 he floated the roof level with hot tar. This time he did not float it flat. I offered to pay extra, he would not level up the roof. That is an important step for a flat roof in Florida. I got what i paid for. His son works with him now. The son is excellent with details, which is important in a quality roof job. It is difficult to get them to come out to make repairs. That is a common problem. you can't be in two places at once. A New roofing job pays the bills, repairs don't pay. Some roofing companies can afford to have a small crew that all they do is ""for hire"" and ""warranty"" repairs. By the way, Deb is Gary's wife. Email seems to work best when contacting Deb.

LOW QUALITY OF WORK AND DEB IS TERRIBLE!!!!
We had a new roof that was put by this company and it began leaking into the walls. A call was placed immediately and we were told by Deb (the receptionist) that someone would come out. A week in a half has past and no one has called or come by to repair the issue. We place yet another call and Deb says ""you're second in line so someone will be out this weekend"". I informed her that it's Friday and simply asked her if they work on Saturdays, her reply was ""Honey, i know what day it is. We're open 7 days a week. Like I said someone will be out"".
The weekend has past and no one from Coastal roofing has come out, so I call once again (4th call) and Deb answers with her rude and condescending attitude did not even ask me for any account information. I informed her no one showed up even though you informed me that they would be out because we were second on the schedule and the leak is bad due to the fact it has been raining daily. She raised her voice & said ""HONEY,they will get to your house when they can because they deal with other issues also not just roof leaking. Just because you're second on the list doesn't mean they would get to you over the weekend"". I told her that she said that someone would be out. I asked to speak with the person that makes the schedule and she said that they makes their own schedule, then I asked to speak with the manager because she is very rude and she said ""I am the manager honey, now what"". SHE REPRESENTS THAT COMPANY AND SHE IS TERRIBLE!!! If you want quality work DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

Coastal Roofing has replaced the roof at mom's house 3 times since she has owned it since 1971. The workmanship in the roof replacement is some of the best out there and was validated when the city of Fort Lauderdale's engineer came to verify/inspect the work performed and stated to me that it is a high quality re-roof job.

The roof that was being replaced was installed, by Coastal Roofing, in 1997 and there were NO leaks or any other issues, we had to replace a perfectly good roof because insurance required us to do so. If it had not been required to replace the roof, I think we would have had at least another 4 - 8 years left, if not more.

Coastal Roofing delivers a top quality product and we felt that the pricing for the job was fair, no corners were cut and the office staff along with the job site workers were well trained and friendly.

They asked for the payment in advance and never finish the job, it is always an excuse to postpone it. Do not sign a contract with this company, it will be a nightmare for having the job done.

OMG! The worst. The guy running the job is seriously obnoxious. They knocked the cable wires down while doing the roofing and left trash all over my yard. They left equipment all over the place and didn't come back for it for over a week after finishing the work. My family wouldn't hire them again and do not recommend them. A friend in Oakland Park says they just finished her roof and they messed up by covering an a.c. vent.

I have used and recommended this company for almost 30 years. They have have put new roofs on 3 of my houses and have done a fantastic job. They have put on roofs for two of my family members and at least 10 other friends. Each time they have done excellent work. I consider Gary & Debbie to be honest and trustworthy and dependable. I highly recommend this company!

Having had roofs replaced before, I have to say that it's not a neat or easy process. What I like about Coastal is they take extra care in their finishing. For example, they use end caps on gables, and on my model in particular, they finished the intersection of the gable and slope with tile, not try to box it in with aluminum like others do. Overall, we're very happy with the finished product.

When we signed with them, they were very good and did the job. Less than a few months later, we had an issue with the roof and extreme flooding. We have not heard back in over 3 weeks. Terrible customer service and they don't answer their phone or email. When we reached out 3 weeks ago, they said they would send someone. We are still waiting to hear back.... Crazy.
