The year 1950 marked the beginning of Clyde Nettles, who collaborated with Sabin Nettles and Neclause Porth to establish a roofing, painting, and minor carpentry service. These dedicated individuals worked tirelessly to build a reputation for quality work and outstanding customer care. Today, Clyde Nettles Roofing and Painting stands as a leading name in roofing, painting, and home improvements across the Southeast.

In 1983, upon Mr. Nettles' retirement, the Porth family took ownership of the company, and they still lead it today. Tony Porth, Neclause Porth's eldest son, took the reins and assured Mr. Nettles that he would uphold the integrity of the Nettles name and its legacy of excellence. Following Tony's death in 1997, the Porth family has continued the tradition of quality craftsmanship set by the Nettles and Porth families.
