Don't use Cloud Roofing. I made the mistake of hiring them for my roof replacement and when I had issues with the quality of work, all the owner, Ken Cloud, did was make excuses and yell at me. He has a horrible attitude and lacks basic customer service skills. I regret having to deal with him and his company.
Was recommended to Cloud by two trusted friends. Their representative that came to my home was extremely polite and knowledgeable. From the time the roof was being installed until its completion months later it was a complete disaster and a blame everyone else game. They caused a leak on my roof which they did not accept. Made me file a second claim to repair all the mold and water damage caused by the leak. They then claimed it was caused by everything, but their work. I completed all the other repairs they said were the problem. But, the leak continued. They finally came and fixed the problem, wanted more money, and never offered to cover my second insurance claim caused by their work. It took months for completion and they were argumentative the entire way. This is the first time I have written a review so please take it seriously. They were completely unhelpful and caused a large loss of my personal time and tripled my cost with not one apology or offer to help. Never will I use them again and I will strongly recommend everyone I know not to use them as well.
Fred M.Don't bother trying to get them to come fix mistakes after they install a new roof. I have called for 6 weeks now trying to get them to fix the flashing around our chimney which leaks water into the house during rain storms. They do not care, and have repeatedly said their installers are too busy for warranty claims. Very poor customer service, I will not be recommending them to anyone.

We were impacted by the summer hailstorms as well, our home and my recently deceased mom's home. I contacted cloud that the sales person David Shaw came out. He was nice at the time and promised to get things done around our schedule since I was a teacher. Well, school ended and then we called for a status. We were told it would be delayed. Melinda called one morning at 7am and said the crew would be there at 8am. Well, ok, I would have preferred a little more notice but we wanted to get started on the extensive work. IT TOOK 7 MONTHS to get it all finished for both homes!!! Ridiculous I know. No one there knew what the heck was going on. At one point, Marilyn Cloud (the owner's wife) called wanting an inspection. When I called to reschedule so my husband could be there, she actually yelled at me!! Yes, yelled at me! Finally I said I wanted to know what was being inspected because the work had not yet been finished...she apparently wasn't aware of that, said she'd look into it and get back to me. She NEVER called back. The formerly 'nice' sales person lied about the things he had said to us and to Cloud so he didn't look so bad I guess. The workmanship was shoddy, some things not up to code and had to be redone several times. My husband had to take off several times to meet them at the houses to finish the work and the crews would either come unprepared or not show up at all. The 3rd foreman said 'it was his time'....my comment was will they reimburse us for time we'e had to take off from work to deal with it and they have not been ready? They obviously bit off more than they could handle, being greedy I guess. Bottom line...my husband and I have told everyone we know about how bad of an experience it was. We will never use Cloud again! If I could actually give it less than one star I would!
Lynette E.What in the world has happened to Cloud Roofing. As soon as the storm did it's damage I just knew Cloud would be the one for us. I called and called. Finally, the nicest young man PB came out and did an inspection, spent about a 1/2 hour speaking with us about the roof and other issues. He asked for a copy of our insurance paperwork to be downloaded and sent to him. I did this three times. I even had two houses to work on. Here it has been about 2 months now and even after calls to their office and messages left twice, emails sent to his personal email account, he hasn't responded. There are other houses the same size as ours, we have great insurance coverage, our damage isn't outrageous and we haven't moved or changed our phone number so WHAT'S THE DEAL????????????? I guess they have met their quota for the year and don't care about leaving people out on a limb. If that is what happens with a quote, what would have happened if we would have signed a contract and then treated like this? So disappointed in them.
V D.My mother-in-law lives in Heritage subdivision in San Antonio. She used Cloud roofing before. So she is a return customer. She really liked their work before. However, this time I have called for 3 months now for them to come back and fix the leak in the new roof that is not even a year old!!! The first reply after I called a second time was that the guy that was supposed to go out and check it is just so backed up but would call me soon to schedule an appointment. No call.... I call back again.... left a message..... I call again and get a young man.....he says they just left for the day but that the girls in the office would call me back the next day even telling me he sees the paperwork for my mother-in-law on the desk. We left another message on Rachel's cell phone maybe she could help since she came out the time for the bid fir the new roof. Even emailed her. No reply!!! We now have pictures and video of the leak damging the house which each call we told them there was damage. They sure want your $$$$ for a new roof to be done but when it needs maintenance.... forget about it!!! We will go to Eyewitness wants to know and get an attorney. My mother-in-law deserves a completed job and half her money back!!! 3 months and counting and a senior citizen too!!! Can not see where to post pictures but we have them. I already posted to Eyewitness wants to know and will post to the Heritage Subdivision information too.
After 5 calls to Cloud Roofing about damage to our gutter and the dislodging of the water heater exhaust pipe and no satisfaction, I have decided to post a review to advise others not to choose Cloud Roofing.
Jennifer A.The first time I used Cloud 3 years ago I had a really nice experience. I was always surprised when people claimed the opposite, until now. The April hail storm had everything backed up for months understandably, but when I was told in the summer your roof will be ""done by October/November"" and all the plans and agreements that were made by the woman Norah who came out to my house were never followed through. I could never get a call back, a check in, a straight answer on when the start date would be. The only contact I had was when I would call Cloud, and it seemed no one ever knew what was going on, except to confirm I was on some sort of waiting list. The Monday AFTER THANKSGIVING with still no start date confirmed, I finally got Norah on the phone, I expressed after my months of patience I just really needed a start date answer by the end of the day please...just to have her tell me to ""cancel your roof , I don't like your tone, it's my Monday too, lady."" Also ""if you're this big of a pain now, I'm not interested in working with you, just cancel"". Then she hung up on me. I then called Clouds office to cancel and said why. The receptionist asked me to please hold and after 6 minutes I gave up since it was my only day off and I needed to find a new roofing company. An hour later the owner calls me, I tell him Norah asked me to cancel so I was cancelling, and he hung up on me too. Im a small business owner
and I will be sure to tell everyone this company let me down. No, I wasn't rude or mean on the phone, I was just trying to clarify a start date. Get a straight answer. I got those elsewhere.
