Short story: Military veteran neighbor got a roofing claim and hired this company to do the job. Clear Cut was recommended by a friend and so my neighbor was comfortable signing over the insurance check for 10k to do the job. Long story short, the work was not done (no show, no communication) and the owner refused to refund the money, and refused mediation. After getting The Colony police involved and attempting mediation, my neighbor only got 3k back.

So here we are, half a year later, my neighbor still needs a roof and only has the 3k of the 10k he had to start with.

So I want to let you know not to use this company and to spread the word. And never sign over a check to anyone until the work is done.

Do not use this company! This owner cheats customers, and his own employees. They cut corners and are just hard to deal with. I would use anyone else!

Warning! I would not pay these contractors upfront. We paid them $8,500 upfront to start work the next week. We have called every week for the last six weeks and they just keep delaying. They have never called us to let us know they will not be at our house to do the work. We have ask them in writing and on calls to return our money so we can move forward with another contactor for roof and gutters. They are now avoiding our calls and have hung up on my wife. Be very careful if you do business with these guys.
