Mr Johner was contracted to do multiple projects on my property. CBG failed to complete all of the work stipulated on 2 separate contracts. The RMO for CBG's license passed away 12/23 and as such Mr Johner's license to do contracting work in CA is no longer valid. There are also issues with CA franchise tax board as noted on CA Secretary of State business license info. I filed a claim against bond (along with 7 other former customers) and multi part complaint with CSLB, and there are at least 2 other civil actions pending. I think there are much better options for your contracting needs than CBG or Chris Johner (if he 'reinvents himself under another RMO license or business name). Caveat Emptor........

So CBG reaches out via private message the day after we write our review asking how they can fix the incomplete job. You should have responded to our numerous calls/texts shortly after your last day on our property noting that the job was incomplete. However, you chose to ignore us altogether. Too late now. Funny how they come back after they see they receive an extremely negative/poor review trying to patch things up.

Do not hire this company for home improvement or repairs. I hired them to paint my house and replace 7 windows. They painted my house, took my money and never returned to replace the windows. I tried to work with the companies owner Chris Johner and he scheduled me 5 times that a crew would be out to complete the windows and 5 times no one showed up. He then promised to refund a portion of the monies that was given to him and he even wrote me a check. It bounced. Do not hire this company it is not a good value and you will be ripped off.

Find a different company for your contracting needs. I had clear build come over for an estimate and it was way overpriced and very ambiguous as to the exact work they were willing to commit to paper.

CBG presented a quote to replace my roof which was to include a 50 year transferable manufacturer warranty. The quote was reasonable and the warranty closed the deal for me. Their workers broke a patio table. I was assured it would be replaced. The job was finished and no one addressed the broken table until I withheld final payment. It has been 4 months and no sign of the presumed warranty, I have been reaching out to various individuals up to and including the owner Chis. Promises were made to have the warranty in my hands by end of week, over 2 weeks ago. No one is now responding. My roof was replaced and it doesn't leak, but don't believe the rest of the sales pitch.

Although its not mentioned on business cards the crew from Clear Build Group, they do fantastic stone work and transformed a 50+ year old driveway,walkway and porch from broken,cracked Asphalt and Flagstone to Fantastic Pavers which made our house the best one on the block. The crew that worked on this project were professional and very friendly, they explained each step as they did the process. We were very happy that they cleaned things up at the end of day and was ready to start up the next day. Great Value. Will recommend

We had been talking about repainting our house, when Clear Build Group (CBG) happened by. We discussed our desires for the project which included some stucco patching and full window(2) replacement paint and trim. The project was scheduled and then rescheduled with an even earlier start date that worked for us as well.
The workers were well presented in mannerism and work ethics. The different stages of the project ticked off like clockwork. The stucco work was flawless as was the trim work and windows. The paint was a bit brighter than we had anticipated, CBG worked with us to resolve the color issues and had a fix that made us truly happy and at a very reasonable cost.
The only disappointment for us was the inability of CBG to paint the extruded aluminum trim around our windows.
