Problematic, every time it rained my roof leaked after Christian Brothers reroofed my house. I called them to report (4) leaks after the first rain and they sent a person out who did some caulking work on the roof, but the leaks continued. They never did get the leaks stopped. After my soffit began to show rot, I decided to start taking the soffit down in the areas that were leaking so I could determine the cause of the leaks. The first soffit section I removed exposed the exact location of the leak on the underside of the roof decking. When I inspected this location I found three problems: 1) joint breaking on top of another joint 2) no starter shingle used on this eve edge 3) drip edge was placed on top of the underlayment. This allowed rain to go through the joint in the shingle and to go under the drip edge and down the inside of the fascia board and on to the soffit. No need to go into detail on the other leaks, they were all similar in nature and could have easily been prevented by simply doing the job correctly in the first place.
It's not my intent to slam this company or give them a bad reputation, the person responsible for making sure the job is done to code has already done a good job of doing that. My intent is to give some information that might help others when the time comes for a roof replacement. 1) Find a roofing company that has its own roofing personal and not using subcontractors. 2) Take the time to research the the roofing product that is going to be used on your roof and make sure it is listed on the description list. This will prevent the use of cheap material. 3) Hire a independent certified licensed roofing inspector to inspect the new roof installation and let the roofing company know you are going to do this prior to the new roof replacement. 4) Do your homework, its your money. Roofing is not complicated, take the time to watch a few videos on YouTube on proper roof installation. There is a wealth of info on the web.
I am now having to spend a considerable amount of money on repair work and its not because a few mistakes were made. It's because corners were cut whenever possible and cheap materials used. This is a case of maximizing profit at the expense of the customer.

Really can't give them a rating!! It took 2-3 phones calls for someone to return our call & then came out looked at our problem & told he would call with an estimate!! We'll still waiting & its been over a week now!!

Christian Brothers uses subcontractors to do their work. They are incompetent and lacking complete professionalism. Their subcontractors broke one of my air conditioning units, were aware of their mistake and acted as though it never happened. I had no AC within two hours of their departure, and it took 8 days re fix the problem because, of course it was over the 4th or July weekend. In addition, their roofers broke a valuable work of glass art. Again, never taking responsibility. If they had just paid for the AC repair, let alone the piece of art, I would not be writing this review. In the end it cost me $1125.00 to repair the AC dilemma, of which they have ""reimbursed"" me $375. I have not called an art restoration professional as yet. I can't afford it! And, BTW, the roof started leaking a few days ago at the rear of the house.
Last note, they don't like to accept credit cards but prefer cash or checks.
