Founded in 2019, our team has two decades of expertise to every project. Before launching our own venture, we gained valuable experience in the industry.

Jose, known as Cheveto entered the field as a carpenter in 1999, working with five different construction firms from 1999 to 2018, building a reputation as a reliable carpenter in Salinas and the surrounding Monterey County.

After 2018, Jose recognized it was time to become a general contractor in Salinas, providing the same level of service he had delivered for 20 years.

Jose, who many call Cheveto began his professional journey in carpentry in 1999 after completing an apprenticeship at the Carpenters Training Program.

During the years 1999 to 2018, he gained experience with five different builders as a trusted carpenter in Salinas and the greater Monterey County.

Following 20 years of employment, Jose recognized his potential to establish his own business and offer the same level of services that earned him a reputation as a reliable carpenter.

That’s how Cheveto Construction came to be. The business was created with the mission to offer high-quality home improvement services without high costs. Jose is passionate about designing and building living spaces for homeowners throughout Salinas and Monterey County.
