Chavez Roofing do not stand by their work and they will upcharge you from whatever their original quote is. It is a habit, even if nothing additional is added or wrong. I hired them to replace a flat roof. They ended up charging $4,000 more than the original estimate, they removed drains that were vital to the function of my flat roof even after telling me it would drain better then before, which it does not. It's now raining and the roof is not draining and there is massive pooling, and they won't come out to repair their mistake. I would be very cautious in hiring this company. Also, the drip edge they installed looked awful. They got tar on it, bent it in multiple places, and installed more seams then needed. They didn't provide any warning when installing about needing to straighten wood, but then after completing it, they blame the wood on the corners. I think they paid family and friends to write their other reviews.
Maybe hire them if you don't care how your roof looks when finished.

Chavez Roofing was one of five roofing companies I called for an estimate, as I'm picky about contractors and their entire work ethic, not just the end results. They were reasonable as far as the roofing cost, falling somewhere in the middle of the quotes I received even though they were the most comprehensive in their warranty. I'm sure it's easier to give such a great warranty when the scope of work, craftsmanship, and the quality of the materials they use blew away the competition. Jaime (Jimmy), the owner, answered my call promptly, then he patiently answered all my questions. When he came out to take a look at our roof, he talked us through the entire roofing process. We had to work around the removal and replacement of our solar panels by another company, which made it more difficult to schedule, but all throughout the project, Jaime was responsive and flexible with the timing.

The end result was breathtaking. Chavez Roofing turned my ""ho-hum"", 20+ year roof into a spectacular Mediterranean-themed work of art. His crew is friendly, professional, and punctual. They care about the details and follow-through on their promises. I highly recommend this company and I'm not the only one who thinks they're great. When I spoke with an Eagle representative about the tiles I chose, they told me they'd been working with Chavez roofing for over 30 years both in a residential and commercial building partnership. They gave a great review as well!

With so many Companies out there and not knowing a thing about roofing a friend recommended Chavez Roofing. Had a leak and the rains came. Called they were here same day had my quote by end of day as promised which was a Friday. Agreed to quote and they were here Monday morning! There was more wood rot than expected, and they took care of it. Would Refer them for your roofing needs in a heartbeat, I will use them again to replace the whole roof.
