We bought a house that needed a new roof or at least replacement of the underlayment. We got more than 5 quotes and met with way too many companies. Chavez Roofing was the best company as far as price, communication, and professionalism. I cannot express the gratitude that I have for Jimmy and his crew. It is so hard to find a good and trustworthy company. His crew showed up early and worked hard. The crew was nice and professional. The day before scheduled work they dropped off a work truck. We didn't have an in-person assessment until the day before start of work. I was told my roof had two roofs and would cost slightly more. I was immediately concerned and expressed it to Jimmy. He called and explained the situation. The next day they found the two roofs was in only one part and not the entire roof. That was a relief and I'm glad Jimmy took the extra effort to communicate with me through the entire process. They documented and measured all the areas of wood that needed replacement. The work looked excellent. They had to replace some rafters too and the replacement looks better than before. Only issue are some nails that pierced through the cathedral ceiling. I informed them several times about the exposed ceiling and was assured the nails were not long enough, but there were about 10 nails that came through. Regardless, I highly recommend Chavez Roofing for any area. I am located in South Bay and the crew always showed up early and worked entire days. Good quality results.

I was looking for my roof to be replaced got about 5 different quotes from low to high most of them very very pushy called up Chavez spoke to Jaime he came out gave me a quote and did an excellent job finished 2,400sqf in 3 days they worked around my dogs picked up all nails and when recently I thought I heard water drops they immediately came to check and it was the new vents they installed it was just the sound of rain raining on them everything came out good I'm very happy

Just had my whole roof replacement done on Apr 3, 2024. From an estimated of 4-5 days to complete, it only took Chavez Roofing 3 days to finish. From the office to the job site, its service is SUPERB. Everyone treated me with courtesy & respect, with lots of flexibility & understanding. Workmanship was outstanding..great quality of work and most of all, the price cost was very reasonable, way cheaper than its competitors. I will definitely recommend this company on any roof work.

We got a referral from a neighbor to use Chavez Roofing for our leaking roof. After comparing other bids we chose Chavez. So glad we did. Jimmy came to introduce himself, very pleasant and easy to talk to, he explained the process and his crew went to work. They were neat , efficient and cleaned up after they finished. Jimmy came back next day to see if I had any questions.

Great service and very competitive estimates. Highly recommended. When financing the project be sure to get a bigger loan just in case there may be unseen damage to the roof structure requiring extra money to repair.

I used Chavez Roofing Services to redo the underlayment on my roof. I received multiple bids and found Chavez to be quite competitive. They were prompt, had a strong crew to do the work, and delivered just as promised. They had to do some woodwork where there quote was unambiguous about the cost (and it was also reasonable). I was waiting for the San Diego ""Atmospheric River"" to downpour before I wrote a review. But their work stood up to the test. This is my new roofer for future work and I highly recommend them.

I don't usually write negative reviews about family owned businesses, but Chavez Roofing Services really dropped the ball on multiple fronts. Not only did one of their crew members use our backyard as a bathroom and leave a mess with roofing materials, but when we called to sort it out, the representative got defensive instead of helping. And the kicker? A couple of months later, we discovered they reused all the old metal vent pipings on our new roof, despite leading us to believe they would replace them. A new roof with outdated vents? It's disappointing how they handled the whole project - definitely regretting choosing them over quality service. We ended up paying another roofer to replace the vents. It just hurts when you spend all your hard earned money for an expensive roofing job only to feel taken advantage of. After working with the new roofer, we realized we made a mistake choosing cost over quality workmanship. Reading through previous reviews here in Yelp, we should have listened to the review by Kevin. Our mistake. One that we will never make again when fixing our beloved home in the future. Thanks for the lesson Chavez.
