I used Chavez Roofing Services to redo the underlayment on my roof. I received multiple bids and found Chavez to be quite competitive. They were prompt, had a strong crew to do the work, and delivered just as promised. They had to do some woodwork where there quote was unambiguous about the cost (and it was also reasonable). I was waiting for the San Diego ""Atmospheric River"" to downpour before I wrote a review. But their work stood up to the test. This is my new roofer for future work and I highly recommend them.

I don't usually write negative reviews about family owned businesses, but Chavez Roofing Services really dropped the ball on multiple fronts. Not only did one of their crew members use our backyard as a bathroom and leave a mess with roofing materials, but when we called to sort it out, the representative got defensive instead of helping. And the kicker? A couple of months later, we discovered they reused all the old metal vent pipings on our new roof, despite leading us to believe they would replace them. A new roof with outdated vents? It's disappointing how they handled the whole project - definitely regretting choosing them over quality service. We ended up paying another roofer to replace the vents. It just hurts when you spend all your hard earned money for an expensive roofing job only to feel taken advantage of. After working with the new roofer, we realized we made a mistake choosing cost over quality workmanship. Reading through previous reviews here in Yelp, we should have listened to the review by Kevin. Our mistake. One that we will never make again when fixing our beloved home in the future. Thanks for the lesson Chavez.

Jaime and his team did a great job on a lift and relay for my roof. Used Malarkey 40 UDL, 2 layers. Great communication throughout. Crew cleaned up at the end of each day. Love that it's a local family business, 2nd generation roofer. I highly recommend Chavez Roofing.

I was in the process of getting a new roof for a rental. These folks were actually working at a house near me and I walked my dog past their worksite 3-4 days in a row and was quite impressed with the speed and quality of work. Ended up talking to the workers and got a quote from them. Their quote came in reasonable and the person I talked to was very patient and guided me through the process smoothly. In the quoting process, the informed me there might be additional charges once they see what's under the roof. Sure enough, there was some wood damages and they gave me a reasonable price to get that done.

I'm very happy with the service received and have then referred a few other friends to their business.

We contracted Chavez Roofing to replace our Torch-Down Roof and honestly, we couldn't have made a better decision.

The entire crew was professional and friendly and were very responsive to all of our questions and concerns. I found them to be honest and up front in what the Roofing Project was going to cost, as well as ensuring we always knew and understood what materials needed to be replaced through numerous pictures via text and email.

The days my Roofing project happened were scorching hot in El Cajon, but the crew still worked just as hard as if it was a cooler day (I just hope they took some much needed breaks off the roof to cool down). So, I was very impressed by their dedication to doing the job right even when conditions were tough.

I will definitely be recommending Chavez Roofing to anyone I know that needs Roof work.
