Like others have said, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Never finished the job, and completely ignored when we tried to reach out to them.

June 29, 2017 Charter started rebuilding my deck. The construction of the deck went as planned but after 2 years I still have not been able to get my staining done which I paid for. I have reached out to Pete, Gary, and Danny all have either ignored or given excuses about why they can not finish the job. They wen t as far as to blame President 45 saying many of their workers were deported and were pre paid for the work they can no longer finish.

As per the previous review, run away! They do NOT finish their work. We contracted with them (and paid in full) and then had to ask repeatedly for them to come finish what they promised. It never happened. We have documented over 20 requests to come complete the job. And we have the initial workers on NEST camera standing around and not working. There were always excuses. Passing the blame, etc. So frustrating. Initial work was shoddy to begin with, and now we have an incomplete job.

This company is extremely disorganized. We had a terrible time scheduling an estimate. After we scheduled the estimate, they missed our first appointment. When we rescheduled, they came at a different time than we'd set up. When they sent the estimate to us, our last name and address was incorrect. They also had my email address wrong, so it took a while to receive the estimate. The estimate was vague with limited details about what they planned to do. It had other misspellings and was missing some important punctuation. For example, they said ""R and R new light,"" but didn't specify which light. They said ""Payment draw with final at completion,"" which we thought meant we'd pay the full sum at the end of the project. They meant 50 percent at the beginning and the rest at the end.

When the project started, the project manager said we needed a 72"" vanity, but we really could have used a 76"" vanity. Now we have 2"" on either side. They said we could choose any tile we wanted for the shower and floor. After we picked tile, they said it was the wrong size. After picking incorrectly two more times, we asked them to pick something similar that would work. They gave us four options. The first tile we choose they couldn't find in any stores around the city. They didn't tell us what size facets to buy, so we bought facets that were too small.
It appeared to us the project manager wasn't communicating with his workers. He seemed to have no idea how far long along they were or what need to happen next. As a result, the renovation moved slowly. There were some days when no work was done. We had to ask the project manager almost every day if workers where coming. Some days workers came when we weren't expecting them.

In our opinion, they also installed some things in the wrong order. They installed the towel racks and mirrors before painting. They also installed the vanity before fixing and painting the wall around it. We had to ask them and take pictures to get them to paint and fix the wall around the vanity. In order to get them to complete these small tasks, we also had to email the project manager and the owner. We said that we wouldn't schedule the final walk through until these things where done. As a result, they finished these tasks quickly and carelessly. We still have Spackle in the corner of the tub, on the wall in the toilet room, and on one of the vanity legs. There is paint on the shower door. We also had a vent in the floor with needed an irregular sized cover. We had to ask them to cover the vent. This probably should have been done before the vanity was installed.

They were supposed to change the hanging light fixture, but they claimed they didn't have a ladder tall enough. The project manager actually asked us during the initial appointment if we wanted the old light fixture removed. We will be having someone else change this light fixture.
They said they would dispose of all old material. As of now they haven't taken our old mirror. We asked them to take it when they came by for the final check, but they didn't bring a big enough vehicle to take the mirror. They are supposedly sending some men for it this week. Considering all of these problems, we cannot recommend this company for a bathroom renovation.

I have been trying since late December to get Peter (Owner) send someone to repair an improperly installed screen door on my porch rebuild. After multiple attempts and speaking to him personally he promised now three times to send someone to look at it. He has still not done so and no longer respond to my calls and emails. I will be contacting the BBB to help resolve.

Steer clear! Hired this company to rebuild, paint and stain our front porch. They didn't use pressure treated wood, the pieces are already falling apart and they never returned to paint and stain. We have contacted them multiple times via calls and letters and they continue to blow us off. To top it off, they insisted we pay them in full up-front, and still have refused to complete the work. Completely unprofessional way of running a business.

DO NOT use this company! They stopped work on our exterior paint project and after repeated promises failed to return and complete the work! No reason for this incompetence!

After discovering a number of leaks in my 20+ year old roof, it became obvious that we needed to do a full roof replacement. Since it was such a big ticket item, we reached out to 5 companies, including Charter, for quotes for this job.

Pete and Gary were quick to respond, come out to have a look and turn around a quote for us to evaluate. Once we decided to move forward with Charter, they were able to get us on the schedule quickly.

The team came out and worked very efficiently to remove the roof, replace rotted/damaged wood and install our new roof (the job took about 3 days with the crew working pretty much non-stop).

We are very satisfied customers and would highly recommend Charter for this sort of job and we are also keeping them at the top of our list for future jobs around the house.
