Champion Roofing Services
Company Overview
Champion enjoys taking on big, complex jobs and exceeding the standards for such tasks, notably when these tasks involve a roof. Our company is a certified by GAF roofing specialist, listed as the highest tier in the country. We can manage any roofing project, be it industrial or residential, sloped or level. We provide standard shingles, architectural shingles, and high-end designer shingles. Moreover, we install clay tile, wood shingles, synthetic, steel, and stone-coated steel (which is premium, hail-resistant, fire-resistant, and able to endure hurricanes). We handle all your downspout, wall covering, and glazing needs.
What sets us apart? We not only welcome complex or potentially dangerous jobs, but we will negotiate insurance companies (through claims specialists) to make certain you invest as minimal in personal costs for the work as needed. Occasionally, the insurer neglects important details. This is particularly common on expensive claims. Founded in 1959.
During the fall of 1959: We began as Garrard Roofing.
In May 1995: Chris Wiedenhoeft took over Garrard Roofing from the retiring.
On February 22, 1996: We were formally established as Champion Roofing Services, Inc.
On June 1, 1996: We began operations under the new name. Within the first 20 months, we achieved $1 million.
1997: We ended the year with a twofold increase over the last year, surpassing $1 million in business, and countless happy customers.
From 1998 to 2003: Our reputation expanded consistently.
In 2004: Following a series of hurricanes, Champion experienced rapid expansion in Florida.
The year 2011: A significant hail event generated years of work in a flash. Champion Roofing became Champion Construction Services.
During my travels as a young adult, as an officer in the Air Force, and particularly in my business endeavors, I discovered something about who I am:
I truly enjoy serving others with my dedication to mastering significant and difficult jobs. I take immense pride in my work. My pride is in my work. If you need help with a difficult project, relax and observe. I'll leave you with something that brings joy to both of us every time we review it.

Associates were very friendly and did a good job on the roof. Clean up was a little lax. I know things happen but some of my plants got trampled on. I contacted the office and even went by but no help. That's all on Chris the owner. Would not get back with me. The contract was done by the managing company but I own the condo.

Champion Roofing replaced the roof on our house a couple of months before we purchased it and included a long-term warranty. Our home inspector noticed that water was pooling on part of the roof and suggested that the warranty should cover improper installation leading to water retention.
Shortly after completing the sale, we reached out to Champion to register the warranty. Tina confirmed that this would be no problem, and she would start working on the paperwork. We mentioned the pooling water, and she told us that her boss (Chris, the owner) was out of town. He would get back to us upon his return. A week later, we had heard nothing about either the water or the warranty. This began two months of getting the run around. We would call, be told that the warranty was in process and Chris would reach out shortly, and then nothing would happen.
This week, a branch fell on our roof, puncturing it in two places. Obviously, the warranty doesn't cover that, but we asked if Champion could repair the damage. After a few phone calls, Chris finally visited our home for the first time. I suppose he saw an opportunity to get paid again. He quoted a price for the puncture repair, and we asked him about the pooling water. His curt and rather rude response was, ""That's normal. It's a flat roof. What do you expect?""
I pointed at the even flatter carport roof that the same team installed right next to the pooling water and said, ""That roof is also flat, but it doesn't hold water."" I told Chris that his response was not acceptable. He described what he thought he could do, but said, ""It won't fix the problem."" He then sent us a proposal costing an additional $500, knowing that by his own admission it would probably be insufficient.
We hold that a properly installed roof shouldn't retain pools of standing water for more than 48 hours and that the installation company should fix such deficiencies in their work when they arise. You can clearly see a dip between the edge and the center of that section of roof. Contrary to Chris's claim, it isn't a flat roof. Due to Champion's bad installation, it is a dipping roof.
Additionally, when installing the carport roof, the crew did not take care to align their nails to the trusses, so there are long roofing nails poking through the underside of the ceiling in multiple locations. It's quite ugly.
To resolve the punctures made by the fallen branch, we hired a different company that came to fix the damage within a few hours (after a single phone call), and they charged us less than half of what Chris quoted us.
Clearly, the roof was not installed properly, and we are quite disappointed that Champion refuses to address their mistakes. Other homeowners should beware especially if your home doesn't have a steep roof, if you care about what the finished product looks like, or if you value prompt and courteous customer service.

I have recommended Champion Roofing to Family, Friends and Neighbors over the years with zero complaints.
Recently I called them to re-roof a small flat roof on my home. Another great job and a very reasonable price! I highly recommend Champion Roofing to anyone in need of quality roofing at affordable prices!

Had a 40 year roof put on around 2005 by Champion Roofing. Roof appears to be leaking around the flashing of one of our chimneys. Several calls to Champion have been I responded to. Frustrated, I had to call another company. Having not dealt with Champion since they installed our roof in 2005, it is apparent that customer service is no longer important to this company. Beware!

I can't say enough about these guys, not only do they have a top notch salesman but they actually deliver what they promise and then some, greatest service ever thank you guys great job!!! I will definitly recommend everybody I know

Champion Roofing estimates was the best out of 4 bidders when this company put a new roof on our rental house. The work was done as promised and the quality is high. The work crew was attentive, hard working, considering the progress or problems with me, and was sensitive. Top quality and highly recommended.
