The owner, Matthew Ritze, began as a curious young man under the guidance of his father, a skilled businessman and master roofing technician. Following years of apprenticeship, he understood that he could expand his knowledge of the roofing sector by working in manufacturing. The firm he chose specialized in manufacturing roofing products for both residential and commercial applications. In his daily interactions with roofing contractors, he remembered the lessons learned from his father. He discovered there was one segment of the roofing industry he had yet to explore: the distribution of roofing materials. What do you think he did next? You guessed it! While managing, his responsibilities included understanding the various types of roofing products and their practical applications. He advised contractors (like Champion) who came to him for insights on material application and lifespan. Champion Roof Company was launched in 2002.
