The owner, Matthew Ritze, began as a curious young man under the guidance of his father, a skilled businessman and master roofing technician. Following years of apprenticeship, he understood that he could expand his knowledge of the roofing sector by working in manufacturing. The company he selected produced both residential and commercial roofing products. While collaborating daily with roofing contractors, he reminisced about his time with his father. He discovered there was one segment of the roofing industry he had yet to explore: the distribution of roofing materials. What do you think he did next? You guessed it! As a manager, he was tasked with learning about the diverse roofing products and their real-world applications. His customers included contractors (like Champion) who sought his advice on how to utilize specific materials and their durability. Champion Roof Company was launched in 2002.
