Carlos provided a bid that was significantly lower than other contractors to patch a whole in our ceiling after some plumbing repairs. We decided to give it a shot, and they were very easy to work with and did a great job. They got us on the schedule within a few days, and came back right away to fix a few minor issues with the texture. They end result looks great, and I would definitely reach out to them again on other projects.

These guys are Top Notch. Great at their work. They got professionals to do everything and they are straightforward. I had a contractor left on me by making a mess on leveling my yard and putting French drain. Carlos' guys came in the next day and finish everything in a day without compromising quality.

They came on Thanksgiving evening to review and tarp the roof. It turned out I needed a new roof... they jumped right on it with a great bid, started and completed the work on today!!! I am sooooo happy with their work and constant communication and pictures throughout the entire day!!

I hired Carlos Garcia for several small jobs in my house. He was very punctual and responsive initially. He scheduled a meeting, and came to my house to see the job, and provided me estimates on the fly (I should have known that when someone is giving you estimates verbally, they are not professional). Anyways, he didn't seem professional, so I decided to cut the job into two phases so that I can learn about him and his team's work ethics and then give him the rest of the project. Glad I did that!

Carlos told me that he has licensed electricians, and a team of people who can do anything around the house. I asked for wiring into my outdoor patio, install fans, install the patio sun shades, as well as repaint it. We agreed upon a price, and date. A day before the scheduled time, I went to purchase the items online, and then met Carlos and his team members at Home Depot store to pickup the material. I was on the hook to buy the sunshades, while Carlos was suppose to buy everything about the electrical work including the PVC pipes, outdoor grade switches and outlets.

A few hours into the job, I came to check-in, and I found out that the electrician was trying to bury the wires without the PVC pipes underground (a red flag, as I have already discussed with him that it would be PVC pipes, sealed for weathering and all outlets and switches will be outdoor / water proof). When I confronted Carlos about it, he became a little frustrated but didn't say anything and went to buy the PVC pipes and parts since that was part of the job; meanwhile the rest of the team kept working on the sunshades on the top of patio.

When I checked their work, they had the SunTuf horizontal closure strips installed wrongly even-though I had showed them manufacturer video before the installation - now the shades are about an inch offset from each side diagonally on a perfect rectangle. Not a big deal, but shows the workmanship, and professionalism. Instead of fixing and perfecting their work, these guys are into taking short cuts.

Meanwhile, the electrical job resumed again, when I came to check on it, I came to find out that they had used wrong PVC extensions; instead of using a L shaped to walk into the patio, they combined two elongated V shaped and thought it would pass the smell check. It looked crooked lines of PVC trying to make its way into the patio.

Looking at the the switch box, I saw exposed holes at the top that are open for water. Clearly he didn't have any licensed electrician while he charged me for the price of a licensed electrician. When I confronted him, he became irritated and angry at me in front of my family members, and raised his voice and finger and claimed that that I had told him that there will not be an inspection (I never did, I asked him if I can get it inspected, will he fix whatever is found). At this point, it was clear that Carlos Garcia and his team is useless bunch.

I didn't want any more confrontation with him anymore, I simply paid his dues and decided not to hire him and his team anymore. They have no idea about the customer service, nor they are certified to perform any job at any house. I would NEVER recommend Garcia Home Renovation to anyone.

Great guy, was able to come out and hook up my dryer and seal a bathroom tile. Liked his work and prices are fair and reasonable. Will be calling for more work that I need in the Near future!
