Having to replace your roof is a hard realization to come to terms with; knowing who to hire is another. I was very overwhelmed when looking for the right contractor since I knew little about replacing a roof. I did some googling and got quotes that ranged from expensive to outlandish. Finally, my neighbor recommended Owens Corner Roofing, and I'm so glad they did. David and his team immediately put all my worries at ease. I never felt like I was being sold at any point. David assessed the work that needed to be completed without cutting corners or trying to upsell me. The work was done in a week's time, and I was back to my regular routine just like that. After an error on Saturday, I was ready to write this company off... but I'm glad I didn't. David, the roofing division manager, contacted us and wanted to make things right, regardless of whether it changed the review or not. After three days of rain this week, and with a roof in need of repair, we neeeded a repair estimate to get the roof fixed. It wasn't just a minor leak as someone mentioned, but the entire roof needs to be replaced, which was not what we wanted to hear, yet it wasn't surprising. David is very professional. I'm very impressed with the entire interaction, from how easy and clear it was to speak with him, to presenting us with the material he recommends; very competitive pricing too! I know because I had just met with another company prior to meeting with him. A very professional, yet down to earth interaction. Will be working with Certified Roofing Specialists for sure.

If you want a quality roof, look no further! But like with any contractor, it's not just the roof, it's the company/people. When David came by to give me the estimate, he answered all of my questions, there were many. We had a few people out prior and I always ask the same questions, sometimes more depending on the answers. David spent some time with me, we even talked about personal stuff, which made me feel like he cared. But what sold me was the Platinum Protection warranty through Owens Corning. When we initially hired them, we knew there would be water and termite damaged wood, but we didn't think it would be all of the wood! The crews always showed up on time, friendly, hard working, and cared about what they were doing. Pablo was in charge of the roofers. On the first day when the Cal Shake roof tiles were removed, I could tell how much wood damage there was. And I also knew I wouldn't be happy if we didn't replace everything. What homeowner would spend that kind of money on a whim? Us! Not only did we replace all of the damaged rafters (major work), but also replaced all of the decorative fascia. Yes we had two change orders that added more time and expense to our roof, but it was needed and if we didn't do it with this new roof, we wouldn't have done it at all and the house would still have more issues in the future. Joe, the owner, came out and discussed the changes with me. In fact, Joe came every day to look at the progress, check with the crews, go over the daily schedule with me, etc. He wanted me happy too! It was definitely weird to see the house almost split in half while doing the rafters. But we knew we made the right decision when we saw the damaged wood being removed and the rafters and fascia being replaced. In fact, the crew doing this work have built houses in the past, so they knew what they were doing. Even gave suggestions to Joe. We knew they would fix any stucco, but I never thought they'd match our house color to hide the repairs even though they knew our house was going to be painted a couple of weeks after the roof was done! Who does that? During the roof repair, there was going to be rain over a weekend. On that Saturday, the crew covered the house in plastic. And during the initial roof/wood repairs, they covered our pool in plastic so nothing fell in there. When they removed the plastic, not only did my husband remove some debris from the pool using the net, but I saw Joe doing that too. Again, who does that?! He truly cared about not leaving any mess and I've never seen that! I say the only negative thing during this whole process was dealing with the City of Garden Grove! Getting inspections done in a timely matter is ridiculous! So if you live in GG, it's not CRS, it's the City! Our house looks so different now, it's stunning! Sure we spent a ton more money than we thought we would and I feel the top of our house is new! But we wouldn't have done this if we didn't feel like they weren't qualified! Long story short, hire CRS, you won't be disappointed! Thank you so much David, Joe, Pablo, and all of the crews!

CRS is a great company. This is the first time I use them and will definitely be using them again, and being a real estate professinal myself, I will definetly be referring them to all my clients. I decided to go with CRS from day ONE after I met with Leo the gentleman that came out to give the estimate. He was amazing, very knowledgeable, and very respectful. He explained the whole process in a very clear way and told me exactly what to expect. I had two other very well known companies come out, their estimates came within $2-3k of eachother. The job was done in 4 days. Carlos and his crew did a great job the place was very clean when they left and the new roof lookes fantastic.

We recently bought a house that was flipped therefore questionable materials were used. CRS was the 5th company my partner and I had to come out and offer us a quote. David was very honest and gave me super clear advice on what we should do. We could totally wait and allow the cheap materials to slowly get worse (it's been 5 months and the shingles are already falling off) or we can invest in making it right so that we don't have to keep have nightmares about the rain ruining our almost 100 year old home.
