Consumer beware! They don't honor their warranties. Their proposal specifically states a 5 year warranty, however when asked to inspect a leak we were advised by Myra that they had been out too many times and did not have the time to inspect to see if it was a warrantable leak. So sad, this company has really changed.

I called Castro Roofing after a heavy rainstorm and my roof leaked inside my house. The lady that answered their phone said I would have to wait a week and she would make an appointment with my tenant. She made an appointment for 2 weeks later. I called to ask why she said a week and then made it for 2 weeks, she was rude, but I kept the appointment.They came 2 weeks later, but did not give me a bid. I had to call them multiple times over several days and finally they sent the quote. I got another bid for $1400, the bid from Castro was $5600 to remove the existing tile on a small area and replace the underlayment. I asked what it would cost to retile the entire roof, the bid was over 18,600, to replace the underlayment and put the old tile back on. They never offered any temporary fix to keep my roof from leaking. I think both bids are exorbitant. The house is 1900 square feet, one story, barrel tile. I won't be using them.

I have used Castro Roofing twice now, for our last home and our more recently purchased home. Each time, Eric Castro came out, fully inspected the existing roof and outlined options and followed up with pricing. And, in each case, we went with a new (foam) roof and have been completely satisfied with their workmanship, responsiveness, and professionalism. My next door neighbor was so impressed with the level of effort and thoroughness he was able to observe, he asked for the company's name. I was happy to refer him and do so without reservation to anyone reading this review. There are a lot of flakes in the roofing industry; Castro roofing is NOT one of them!

I have 2 homes and 2 apartment buildings and I made the mistake of using some independents before finding Castro. Do you have to schedule far in advance, yes because they are that good. Have they fixed a roof and it still leaked next season, yes, but they came out and removed more tile and made sure the leak was taken care of at no charge.

I spent $60,000 on a different local roofer before finding Castro. The rains came and it leaked. I called him to have it fixed and he quoted me a price. I told him I had already paid him to install the roof. He replied he only made my roof look pretty and if I had wanted it not to leak it would have cost ore more money. In another horror story, the same guy fixed the leak at a friend's house and when they sold their home the inspector found a blown up pool in the attic. :-)

Caveat: this review involves a project done when the world is dealing with the economic impacts of COVID. This includes supply shortages, inflation and labor challenges. Despite these issues, Castro did a great job. Be careful of criticisms that fault them for circumstances beyond their control.

Castro came recommended by a trusted friend in the real estate industry. We needed a new roof, the old-school foam style. We called several different roofers. Castro was the most reasonable price and they knew what the project required.

They did an epic job on a difficult roof. They worked hard to get all the most important things done on schedule...all during the winter holidays! They cleaned up our yard every day. The crew, from top to bottom, was courteous, professional and friendly. They answered questions and were responsive to additional
Requests to make the job perfect. Castro worked very well with Esser to coordinate the new roof AC as well.

The new roof has transformed the look of our house and the comfort as well. We are glad that we worked with Castro.

I was supposed to have gutters installed on 9/2. The night before they postponed due to not having the materials. I asked if I could substitute a color, they did not know. I asked if they could find out. No one called.
They rescheduled on 9/8 but no one confirmed their arrival. I had to call them. Then they said I was on the schedule for today and would call.
Really?
And they're expensive. They have yet to call or show today. Boo.

Profressional, prompt, considerate, understanding. Eric *owner/estimator and his crew were some of the nicest contractors we've ever worked with. There was an issue with the AC company when they reinstalled the HVAC (had to be moved during roof work) and Eric stepped right in handled the situation quickly. Crew completely cleaned up all debris, roofing nails, materials, etc...at the end of every day. Work was completed on time as promised, any questions/concerns were addressed immediately and profressionally. We will not hesitate to call Castro Roofing in the future. Great big thank you from the Lugo family. We love our new, modern, energy-saving roof!

The team is half way through the job and I could not be any happier at this point. They are timely, VERY clean and professional. The office has been amazing to work with. They respond to all emails and calls very quickly. I highly recommend Castro roofing!

Castro roofing completed a roofing repair this past week. From the beginning estimate by Eric Castro to the final review by Jonathan, the service, professionalism, efficiency and friendliness by all concerned were outstanding.
The workers, Enrique, Julio, and Humberto were always on time, working on task for the two days. They took time to answer my questions during the job and did a major clean-up on the ground each day. Mayra, in the office was quick to return my phone calls and sent a prompt, easy to understand preliminary contract and final bill.
Of course, I will definitely continue this review after the next rain, here in Palm Springs. :)
