We had a very good experience with Castillo. We needed to repair our roof and wanted to match the existing roof. They sourced the shingles from Baton Rouge. We even messed up their schedule due to going out of town last minute. I'd feel with them again in a second!

Castillo Builders did a wonderful job on our roof and they were very reasonable. We worked with John Canamar who was extremely professional and personable. The team of roofers were quick and efficient. And after finishing the job they left it spotless. Also, our AC unit which is on the roof needed a new stand. There was some difficulty finding a new one and because of this John took it upon himself to make one for us and it came out amazing. We really appreciated him doing that. We will definitely recommend Castillo Builders to anyone and will be using Castillo Builders for our future projects.

Never received estimate after site visit and multiple follow up calls. Had a handful of small projects that needed to be done, so scheduled these guys to come out take a look. Took time off of work so I could meet them at the house and go over everything. The guy called me a few days later with a couple questions then never heard from him again.
Probably a good sign of what to expect if you do actually use them.

Castillo Builders are professional and especially good with communication. They do great work for a reasonable price and are very honest about the job. Wade breaks down all the different steps/ equipment expenses in his quote so you can see everything they will do and what it will individually cost. They have done a few projects around my house. I will definitely use Castillo again in the future!

We absolutely love our new room Castillo Builders did for us. They transformed our attic into a great playroom. Alphonso, Wade and Nelson were the best! Nelson was the hands-on guy and was here from beginning to end. He went above and beyond to make sure we got just what we wanted. Considering our job happened during a pandemic and a hurricane I think it went very smoothly! Kudos to Castillo Builders- we love our new addition!

I highly recommend Castillo Builders. I got several quotes for the renovation of my small home in the Garden District. Wade got back to me the fastest and with the most comprehensive quote of them all. The prices were fair and the written estimates included everything that we would encounter in the renovation. The communication was great and if something on the quote changed it was all done in writing, so there was no mistakes. These guys started work promptly, showed up on time and even worked weekends to complete my project. Nelson and the crew were courteous, professional and respectful of the property. Castillo is a well run company and I would definitely use them again for any other renovations. Great job!

Highly recommend! I had Castillo Builders help with two minor repairs prior to putting my home up for sale. Even though these were both small jobs, Wade and Nelson could not have been more courteous and professional. I was very happy with the work they did and enjoyed working with them both.

These guys did a great job in a fairly short amount of time for a large job they undertook for me. I had to have the sub floors and upper floors completely redone in my house with multiple joists that needed to be replaced in a short amount of time. They were informative and straightforward with any delays or areas of concern that needed to be felt with, and stayed within my budget. Being able to stay in constant contact with them helped take away a lot of worry, especially if I had a question or concern that needed answered.

Beware of Castillo Construction now known as Castillo Builders. We terminated our contract with Alfonso 3 years ago for faulty work and delayed timelines. He went through multiple subcontractors for nonpayment to them. We brought a case against him which was eventually settled with a payment plan over 1 year. During this time he was usually late paying and stopped paying as of the second to last installment. We were told by our lawyer that his legal representation withdrew due to non-payment. In the midst of this he created a new LLC, presumably to avoid incurring any liens by us because Castillo Construction is now defunct. When we tried to serve him with lien papers, the address listed on all his business filings is a serviced PO Box at Royal Mail on Metairie Rd. If you know how to contact him, please let me know. In the meantime, I highly suggest avoiding his services.
