Never received estimate after site visit and multiple follow up calls. Had a handful of small projects that needed to be done, so scheduled these guys to come out take a look. Took time off of work so I could meet them at the house and go over everything. The guy called me a few days later with a couple questions then never heard from him again.
Probably a good sign of what to expect if you do actually use them.

Castillo Builders are professional and especially good with communication. They do great work for a reasonable price and are very honest about the job. Wade breaks down all the different steps/ equipment expenses in his quote so you can see everything they will do and what it will individually cost. They have done a few projects around my house. I will definitely use Castillo again in the future!

We absolutely love our new room Castillo Builders did for us. They transformed our attic into a great playroom. Alphonso, Wade and Nelson were the best! Nelson was the hands-on guy and was here from beginning to end. He went above and beyond to make sure we got just what we wanted. Considering our job happened during a pandemic and a hurricane I think it went very smoothly! Kudos to Castillo Builders- we love our new addition!

They did a great job, my house looks really good and per usual, there were a few tricky situations that needed to be navigated that they handled well. I highly recommend Castillo Builders. I got several quotes for the renovation of my small home in the Garden District. Wade got back to me the fastest and with the most comprehensive quote of them all. The prices were fair and the written estimates included everything that we would encounter in the renovation. The communication was great and if something on the quote changed it was all done in writing, so there was no mistakes. These guys started work promptly, showed up on time and even worked weekends to complete my project. Nelson and the crew were courteous, professional and respectful of the property. Castillo is a well run company and I would definitely use them again for any other renovations. Great job!

Highly recommend! I had Castillo Builders help with two minor repairs prior to putting my home up for sale. Even though these were both small jobs, Wade and Nelson could not have been more courteous and professional. I was very happy with the work they did and enjoyed working with them both.

These guys did a great job in a fairly short amount of time for a large job they undertook for me. I had to have the sub floors and upper floors completely redone in my house with multiple joists that needed to be replaced in a short amount of time. They were informative and straightforward with any delays or areas of concern that needed to be felt with, and stayed within my budget. Being able to stay in constant contact with them helped take away a lot of worry, especially if I had a question or concern that needed answered.

Beware of Castillo Construction now known as Castillo Builders. We terminated our contract with Alfonso 3 years ago for faulty work and delayed timelines. He went through multiple subcontractors for nonpayment to them. We brought a case against him which was eventually settled with a payment plan over 1 year. During this time he was usually late paying and stopped paying as of the second to last installment. We were told by our lawyer that his legal representation withdrew due to non-payment. In the midst of this he created a new LLC, presumably to avoid incurring any liens by us because Castillo Construction is now defunct. When we tried to serve him with lien papers, the address listed on all his business filings is a serviced PO Box at Royal Mail on Metairie Rd. If you know how to contact him, please let me know. In the meantime, I highly suggest avoiding his services.

I started my search on Yelp looking for a contractor to do some repair work and entryway door replacement at my mother in-laws home. Out of three companies that came for quotes Castillo was the only company that returned with a quote...and a very reasonable quote.
Part of the work was to repair a rotted section of siding. Castillo was honest and straightforward about making us aware that until they pulled all the boards back and started the repair that they couldn't confirm the amount of rot and damage, so the quote could change.
Once we signed the contract for the work they promptly got the work underway. The workers were extremely courteous. They took great care to cover and protect the furnishings. They cleaned up after each day.
The final work on all the siding, sheetrock repair and door replacement was fantastic.
Alfonso runs a top notch business and top notch crew. I would highly recommend them and we will use them again.

My husband and I hired Castillo construction to raise our house. Alfonso, the owner, came to our house and gave us a detailed and reasonable estimate. We had heard so many horror stories about contractors, so we did our homework on him and yes, his references were excellent and everything checked out. He is licensed and insured. He explained to us what the job was going to entailed. He was very flexible and understanding. Their work was performed in a timely manner. His workers were so polite and helpful. At the end of the project, Castillo Construction left everything very clean . Alfonso kept in touch to make sure that we were satisfied with his work . I really highly recommend him. He delivers exactly what he offers. He doesn't take shortcuts. A year later, we hired him to remodeled another property we own. He did a superb job. Since he is a general contractor, he took care of everything. We can't begin to tell you how pleased we are with his services. He is very honest, FAST, and reliable. Alfonso also gives you great suggestions since he has so much experience. We recommend him for any kind of construction needs. You will not be disappointed.
