The rep did not show at the scheduled time. I had to call him to find out that he would not be coming. We scheduled for the next day. He called but did not have the address (communicated to him multiple times) so he could not arrive at the scheduled time. I had to cancel.

What can I say? Perfection.

Overall assessment: 5 Stars+: Experienced, great crew, well managed, focused, skilled, precise, careful to details, artists, professional, timely, customer-focused.

I was in a panic; I put off putting in new roof for donkey's years. When I went to sign the contract last June, my selected vendor said sure but not for 11 months! I spent the summer interviewing over 20 roofing companies; half didn't want to touch a residential flat roof and the other half only wanted to install a membrane; clearly the membrane is a long term solution but the roof is visible from inside the house and the backyard - I didn't want my house to look like a strip mall in Merced (sorry Merced).

With El Nino approaching and in a rising sense of panic and despair my general contractor referred me to Caruzo; Marcos came right over, assessed accurately so that my roof was broken; he then provided a comprehensive fixed-priced quote (including permits and insurance) for bitumen product and process. They even found time in their busy schedule to install in a matter of a couple of weeks. The removal and installation processes went extremely well; I had them add insulation to my 90 year old house, and replace 2 skylights; during the process they found and easily replaced and repaired several areas of dry rot - their additional fees for these unexpected repairs were extremely competitive and reasonable. The final product is beautiful both in terms of the aesthetics but also in the fine detail of the workmanship and artistry involved (yes required in a good residential roof!).
Once completed and paid, Marcos and his team easily and with a very big smile on their faces addressed a small punch list - all fixed within a day or 2 of the final install.
Overall, I can't tell you how pleased I was with Marcos and his team.

Please give them every consideration for any roof repair or re-install you may have.

I found some water stains in the corner of ceiling. Considering the roof has been around for a long time, I called to find a roofer to get the roof replaced.

Marco was very responsive, he came over and give an estimate. Upon seeing the roof, he said the roof is in good shape and has years to go, and leak was the improper installation of the ridge, and suggested only to redo the ridge instead of replacing the whole roof. He squeezed in the job really quickly. I really appreciate Marco's honesty and responsiveness.

Luis Palala took care of our roofing project for Caruzo's Roofing. We give him the highest rating possible. We had a tight deadline on our home purchase, which his crew met. Luis was there to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction and to answer any questions. He also made a suggestion about our malfunctioning skylights. We ended up removing some of them and repairing the others. His ideas and his pricing were good. He really went out of his way to make sure we were happy with the work. He communicates regularly and is available when you need him. We are very pleased.

Caruzo's Roofing Company did an excellent job on my roof. I had a tight budget but they were able to give me more at a discount compared to a competitor that was giving less for more. They were on time, worked diligently, cleaned up afterwards, and were very quick, fast and efficient at completing the job. They were also very flexibile with little add-ons that they did at no additional charge. They finished the job in 3 days just before it rained which was a lifesaver!. They are hard workers and are very good at answering questions. I called Luis several times and he was always there to answer my questions. That to me was very important. He also answered my questions with patience and understanding without being condescending. He also showed me pictures of the job as it was going on giving me a play by play if you will. This made me feel comfortable and gave me reassurance that everything was going according to plan. I would highly recommend this company if you want excellence in craftsmanship, quality, dedication, great service, flexibility and reasonable prices.
