On May 30th, my world (and a huge chunk of my home) came crashing down. Straight line winds took out 2 enormous trees in the neighbors yard. When they came down they took our shared fence, my roof, my attached pergola (ripping bricks out of the back wall), damaged my air conditioner, and filled my swimming pool. They also took out the power lines leaving us without electricity for 9 days. Left in the dark, unable to get out my sliding glass door, and with rain pouring through the kitchen ceiling, the panic set in!

How was I going to arrange all this work? Where should I even start? All the insurance company said was to get quotes and wait for an adjuster. But with half the city in the same boat, how could I avoid being taken advantage of?

Thankfully my sister and BIL had recently done business with Josh Mercer at Capitol Roofing & Construction. I called him the next morning and he was out that afternoon. I cannot BEGIN to express how wonderful this man, and this company are. Josh dealt with my every need with compassion, urgency and professionalism.

Capitol got a team to my house immediately to tarp the roof and mitigate any further damage. Josh dealt with my insurance company every step of the way. He was here to walk the damage with the Field Adjuster, and negotiated payment for all the work with the Claims Agent. I could NEVER have handled this on my own, and arranging for different crews to repair my multiple layers of damage would have been impossible.

Each crew that they sent was top notch, and the work that they did was outstanding. Josh got me more than I ever dreamed possible and my home looks better than it ever has. I consider this man a friend now, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Within 90 days all trees and debris were removed, I had a new roof and roof deck, new gutters, a new 3 Ton HVAC system, all damage to brick and fascia repaired seamlessly, a new improved cedar pergola, a new kitchen ceiling with updated LED lighting, and a peace of mind that money can't buy.

These guys are my go to for any home repair. They do everything, not just roofing. They put on my new roof and replaced my skylight. It looks great. I've had several neighbors comment on it. They did some drywall and ceiling repairs inside the house. They also did an excellent job painting and caulking my a few rooms in my house. I'm going to have them come back to do a bathroom repair and remodel. I'm very happy with their work.

We had wind damage on our roof from the bad storm that blew through on May 28. Several shingles had blown off and insurance claims there wasn't enough damage to worry about but the shingles had to be replaced. Josh from Capitol Roofing came out Friday, June 7th and spent almost 3 hours on our roof replacing shingles. He was very friendly, offered some good advice as he showed us via photos that our roof DOES have hail damage and offered to work with our insurance. He charged us NOTHING. If our roof does indeed need to be replaced we will surely us this company. Thanks again Josh!!

I am so happy we found Capital Roofing and Construction. We previously had a different company come out to replace rotted trim/fascia on the front of the house and we were not happy with the job they did. We contacted Capital Roofing and Construction to give us a quote to redo the bad repairs from the previous company, replace additional rotted trim/fascia and repair squirrel damage. We received a quick response from them and Josh and Aaron were at our house within a couple days to check things out. It was obvious right away they were very knowledgeable and experienced in their trade. The quote they gave us was 100% appropriate given the cost of materials right now and a respectable rate for labor. Aaron used quality materials like pressure-treated wood and he and his colleague had wonderful attention to detail. These guys were troopers and put in as much time as they could over multiple days during one of the hottest summers. They even worked weekends to keep the job timeline on track. They always let us know when they arrived and gave us updates before they left for the day. Aaron always came to show us any issue he found and consulted with Josh so they could let us know our options for fixing any issues. Josh, Aaron, and their team were a huge pleasure to work with and I will go to them again for any future work I need done. One of my neighbors saw them come out and do work on our house and thought the job they did was absolutely beautiful so they wanted to get the name of the company from us for work they need done on their house.
