We hired Capital Siding and Roofing to redo the siding on our house. For that they did an amazing job and we are very happy with those results. However, while doing so they undid our Breaker Box and moved breakers around and put new higher voltage breakers in. They also cut the lock on our meter which the city and an outside electric company confirmed were attempts to avoid pulling permits and save a couple bucks. Throughout the week we lost power to various portions of our house. They were able to restore some power but not all and now we have no power to around 1/4 of our house. We have asked them to pay for the fix after they gave us several different stories about why we lost power (including rats chewing through our wires the day they showed up). Since they have refused to do so we have hired counsel to try in an attempt to get them to do the right thing.

Mike Linan and his crew installed our new roof. We chose this company because they were able to get everything done that we needed. We added ridge vents and needed soffit vents added. Not all companies do soffit vents. The job was done on time and the final bill was the same as our estimate. The bid was not the lowest we received but it was the lowest for all of the work we needed which kept us from having to hire two companies. I recommend Mike and his crew and we would definitely do business with them again.

First, I need to tell you I did extensive research regarding the replacement of my windows in my home. I received 6 estimates from all the ""TOP"" business on YELP. Every single one of them just seemed ridiculously overpriced! I kept thinking to myself an estimate for $6000+ to replace 10 windows in my south Austin home is just crazy. Every single company sent out a salesman to sell me windows and not honestly talk to me about my needs and listen to my wants. Each one tried to sell me on that they have the ""best"" windows and their installers were the best in the business. They all seemed to have so much business that I wasn't a real priority and basically they could charge whatever they want. I almost gave up until I found Mike and Capital Siding and Roofing.

Mike has lived in South Austin in the same home for 25 years. He's a local, honest and hard working guy. I was recommended to Mike by a Mother/Son team whom were remodeling a home down the street from me that I popped in to see what they were doing to the home. After speaking with them for close to an hour and telling them about my window woes they recommended Mike to me. I called Mike as soon as I left the house and he picked up the phone on the first call (which he did every time or called me right back during the process). Mike, scheduled an initial consultation the next week and met me at my house himself (Owner of the Business for 27 years).

Mike does everything himself with a small team he's worked with for years. From the initial consultation, to ordering the windows, communication and overall price vs quality vs workmanship, I couldn't be happier. I also have a 15 month old daughter where ideally they could complete the job in one day and they made it happen. The total price was SUBSTANTIALLY better than all the others. He's a neighbor and one of the best guys I've met as a contractor. Mike also does roofing, siding, doors and paint. I'll be referring Mike to all my clients, friends and family. Thank you Mike for all your hard work and integrity. We love our new windows!
