One star is too much. A terrible experience all the way around. The estimator was the nicest person there. The owners are rude and extremely unprofessional. I would not use them to roof a dog house.

If I could rate no stars I would. They quoted to replace the roof and flashing. The flashing was not replaced, they dented my gutters, and left a mess. They ran out of end cap shingles, went to local store to buy more but the color didn't match. Sad part is they installed the wrong color shingles any way, who runs this company? Do yourself a favor and do not use this company, the only reason I did is because my insurance company made me. Look at the pics attached for proof.

Do NOT use this company ""Cantrell roofing"" 903-848-9494. We have our roof replace in 2015. They came out and was very friendly, but don't be fool by that. Our roof start leaking around the chimney due to moderated and heavy rain. We call them and they came out to look and make the repair since we told them the workmanship was still under warranty. They end up fixing it... few weeks pass with more rain, it continue leaking, this time they won't come out even to look or make any repair, but blaming other trade... such as the chimney causing to leak. They ask for photos, so we send them and never heard back from them.. we continue contacting them and finally able to reach the owner, he was very rude and does not want to help at all. This company is a joke... I find out they did not do the flashing correct along the base of the chimney from other dependable roofer. Do not use them... if you want to avoid the headache

This company cannot be trusted to do what they say they will do. I called them due to roof damage caused by a tree falling on my house. They came out, (was very friendly) looked at the job along with an insurance adjustor. I was told that they could do the job. However, about a week later when it came time to get started, they did not respond. I called six times both to the man that came out and to the owner over a weeks period of time. The calls were not answered, and they would not return my calls. At this point I had to start all over in finding a roofer. In the meantime my house was damaged further because of heavy rains and leakage into one of my bedrooms. These guys seem to be only interested in easy jobs for a lot of money.

We are 1 1/2 years after roof install. Have found out from other contractors, namely HVAC, that the vent pipes for plumbing and HVAC we not installed properly. Several were left at a crooked angle and storm collar was not replaced on the vent stack for the HVAC. This doesn't even mention the guttering issue that was never completed. A piece of guttering has been left off and rain just pours off the end of our patio.

I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. they are (and shouldn't be) a preferred roofer for USAA. I called my insurance company on a Saturday about 2 vents blown off my house that left 2 holes that go into my attic. USAA contracted Cantrell on Monday morning to look at the roof. I called the roofer and was told that I would be contacted soon. Tuesday I called them and asked about when someone would come out, I was told that the guy on my job would call later that day......no call. Wednesday I called them again and told them that the weather was calling for rain and I needed my roof looked and told what I needed fixed. I was told that since I didn't want them to fix it (before I knew what the roof needed) that I needed an adjuster instead of a roofer. first off who just has things fix blindly without knowing what's wrong. I told them I wanted it fixed but needed the whole thing looked at. I then called USAA ( another yelp complaint) and got the run around. I got home Wednesday and get someone else to fix the roof before the wind and rain came in. to top it off the next Monday Cantrell called me to set up a time to look at my roof.....lol. really, a week later and repairs completed. if you use these people you take your chances. if they treat one person like this it goes into how they view their customers as a whole

No showed for our roofing/gutter appointment. 3 hours later we finally had someone show up to work with no crew and said he'd back in an hour, he didn't come back. We made several phone calls trying to reach someone from early morning until after lunchtime and no one called us back. We had to continue calling until we finally reached the office. When I expressed how upset we were and said that I wanted them to come remove the shingles from our driveway (blocking our garage and all of our parking), the owner's wife, Mandy, responded with ""are you kidding me""... I replied no I am not... she said that ""we've done a lot of roofs and never had to deal with someone like you""... Well, if you'd respected us enough to call then we wouldn't be having this problem.

I want to add that the owner, Brian, has called us a number of times to confirm and/or offer us earlier appointments, which we declined and said we'd like to stick with our day because we'd made arrangements for it that day. We'd also specifically said we wanted the work to start early so it didn't go on until late in the evening. Starting at noon was never okay and we wouldn't have hired them if we'd been given that information upfront. We were also told they'd reschedule and put the shingles in our backyard which we also declined because we have dogs that go in the backyard and new sod, we certainly didn't want to do that. Since they didn't call to cancel, we chose to fire them vs. reschedule. The owner, Brian, still hasn't called and explained or apologized.

We've notified USAA as well since they were a recommended company from the insurance.
