I wish that I had done more research before hiring Matt. He was very convincing when I initially met with him, even offering roof replacement on my house for half what other contractors were asking for. I was taken aback when he asked for a $1000 security deposit plus half of the repair money upfront ($10,000), but decided to trust him (big mistake!). Within 10 days of signing the contract, I ended up having to cancel the job, which hadn't started because of issues brought up by Matt's crew regarding moving a gas line and some electrical wiring in order for them to start. When I cancelled, he agreed in writing to refund me the amount paid minus the security deposit and the cost of cleaning the roof, which I agreed to let him do while cancelling (it was $2500). It has been over a month and I still haven't received a refund payment from him. It seems that he has essentially stolen $7,500 from me. Don't trust this guy!

Our beautiful tile roof was in need of renovation and the availability of professionals for tile roofs is pretty slim. So glad we found Matt at California Tile Roof Restoration! He delivered everything he said he would do, and within the budget range we expected. His crew was fast, detail oriented, and very polite. We are super happy.

Don't let any roofer touch your tile roof because they could cause more damage (you need to know which shoes to wear and how to walk on the tiles, etc). Tile roofs need maintenance from an professional.

Matt from California's Tile Roof Restoration was great to work with! We hired them on a last minute job and they did everything they could to accommodate us. They were on time, cleaned all the debris and replaced broken tiles as promised in the proposal. The roof turned out beautiful! Matt was also quick to respond to our texts and phone calls and was so helpful with every aspect of this project. Without hesitation I would recommend this company to my friends and family.

We had our tile roof restored by California Tile Roof Restoration. We are really happy with the results. It looks great and the job went smoothly. The crew was very nice and I felt like they took pride in their work. I feel like we paid a fair price and I would recommend Matt and his company if you need your tile roof restored.

Very disappointed with the customer service received from this company. Our next door neighbor hired them to pressure wash and paint their tile roof. During the pressure washing the debris and orange spray was hitting our recently washed windows and patio furniture. I pointed this out to the workers who didn't seem to care. I called the company and left a message on the voice mail system. Soon got a message back from owner ""Matt"" who said they would send someone out to take care of cleaning up the mess. Long story short, after numerous emails, no one has returned to clean up the mess.

We had a small leak coming in from our bathroom vent over the weekend. We called Matt and he thought it was a simple fix. So next morning first thing Jorge was there to look at it. Turns out a few of the tiles has shifted in the weather and Jorge got up there and made sure they were sealed up. Perfect timing right before all the rain is expected. It was perfect. We appreciate them being so on top of it and coming out so quickly.

I second Leslie H.'s review. I wish I had read Leslei's review before contacting this company. This company is NOT trustworthy. Owner of California Tile Roof Restoration spun off of Tile Roof Restoration. Shoddy work, quick sales talk, questionable contract and materials. Buyer Beware!!!

I am profoundly frustrated with this company. Matt used to work for Tile Roof Restoration, and when he did, he sold me on a $5,000 restoration of my tile roof. I had a leak in the roof, which is why I consulted with them in the first place. Well, after spending the $5,000 plus $250 extra to repair the leak, the roof still leaked, so I ended up needing to find another solution for that leak. Supposedly I have a 10 year warranty on my tile roof. I contacted Matt nearly a year ago about some repair work that needs to be done under warranty. He explained that he is no longer with Tile Roof Restoration and has started his own company. He is trying to build a good reputation and would be happy to help me out, even though technically it isn't his responsibility (Tile Roof Restoration has moved to the Sacto area and has basically not responded to me trying to get this warranty work done.) I felt very grateful to Matt for being willing to take this on. However, long story short, it's been nearly a year now, and after a number of times we've connected and he's promised to come out and take a look at my place, he never has. One's actions speak louder than words, and Matt just hasn't followed through on his promises to ""take care of me."" I've given up at this point and am moving on to find another company that is more reliable.

This Guy Matt first knocked on my door several months ago as a sales person for another tile restoration company.Now he has told us he is a roofing specialist. I asked him how many roofs he has installed and he said I never actually do any of the work,I hire people that do that for me. I dont understand how someone that was a sales person is now the roofing expert when he just told me hes actually never installed any roofs before. He told us he had bought out the original owner and just continued with the same business. This guy knows nothing about roofing.

I love this company. They have done multiple investment properties for me. I love the fact that the restoration appraises as a new roof for only a fraction of the price. Matt is great and responds to any of my questions and concerns quickly. They did a great job, the guys cleaned everything up after the job, and I saved a lot of money. I would definitely recommend this company!
