California Roof Technicians recently completed a TPO job on my 7200 square foot industrial building. I obtained several quotes, and CA Roof Technicians were impressively competitive. Before signing the contract, I read Yelp reviews (of course) and selected the company based on the reviews, particularly the great things that were said about Tony.

Initially, I took too long to respond to the quote, so it was temporarily withdrawn, but Tony worked through that snafu. You get the feeling working with him that he takes great pride in his work - he's very responsive and hands-on (meaning unusually communicative - I got the impression that he managed the job well).

I was sent pics of the job and when it was done, he did a nice, narrated video (in which he cited the certifications that it really was an .80 TPO that was used (I guess some shady companies cheat on this, so beware). The product has a sticker on it that indicates the measurement of the TPO. There was one other little issue at the end of the job, which my helper caught. I was told Tony remedied it right away.

I am very happy I chose this company and would use them again. The job was very expensive (just from a cash-flow perspective - roofing is expensive these days, which was one of the reasons I had great anxiety about the entire job) but I feel I was treated fairly.

Given all other factors, I say if you have the chance to work with Tony, choose this company because he really is one-of-a-kind who will see that the job is done right, at a fair price, and on time.

My roof is almost 20 years old and I've noticed a lot of white patches on it, which indicates exposed fiber. During this winters harsh weather, we had a few shingles blow off in the big winds. I was convinced I needed a new roof. I called Tony from California Roof Technicians for a quote on a new roof. He came out the next day and did a roof inspection.
He said I had another 5-7 years left on my roof but some repairs were needed. Instead of a $12,000 roof replacement he said he could do a few repairs and buy us another 5-7 years before needing a replacement.
He quoted me $1250 for repairs. When he dug into the roof he discovered some shoddy work from the original roofers. Some plywood replacement, a vent and 30-40 shingles needed replacement.
Knowing this I totally expected an additional $300-500 for the extra work.
After he was done he asked me for $950. I was blown away. How often does a contractor charge less than his bid? Like never. I paid him $1000 with the assurance he would definitely get the job to do my replacement in 5 years from now.
I was in the trades for over 30 years and I can tell you that I've never seen such honesty. It goes a long ways toward my opinion of this guy.
He showed on time, worked till the job was done, provided me pics of the previous shoddy work and then charged me less than bid. Something to be said about that.
You won't be disappointed with Tony.

I hired California Rooftech again, this time to take on a very challenging flat roof job at one of my commercial properties in Los Gatos.
Tony did a very good job. The price was reasonable. I would definitely hire tony again.

One afternoon I saw numerous torn down roof coverings on the ground, took a ladder to check and realized that a big portion of our roof flipped during the storm period. The next days were forecasted to have heavy rain and strong winds. I contacted like 7 roof repair companies: only one responded very quickly and that was Tony. I told him what was going on, and even though he had a busy schedule on that day, he mentioned to me that he'll make some time to come check it out. He actually came in the evening, looked into the roof, and confirmed that if it's not covered, our room would have severe water damage the next days. He went and check on his truck, fortunately he still had some plastic tarp available, and he spent like 2+ hours to cover the roof !! Keep in mind this was in the evening and last minute request ! He told me what needed to be done, and that if I wanted to go with him, he'll send me quote and left for the day. Didn't charge anything for this... really just helped us to avoid a disaster. The next two days, it was pouring ! Heavy rain and strong winds, but Tony's work really did the trick and protected our room. Got a quote from Tony later on, and definitely went with him for the whole roof repair. Work's been completed, Tony and his crew cleaned up everything after that and it looks very solid and future proof. Highly recommend Tony and a big thanks to him and his crew

My skylight started leaking several days ago when the last atmospheric river hit the bay area. I left a message with California Roof Technician's and Tony called me back within 10 minutes and scheduled to stop by my house that afternoon. It was raining and Tony placed a tarp over my roof and stopped the leaking. As soon as the rain stopped the next day, Tony came and repaired the skylight. He was very diligent, professional and courteous. Two days later, the second storm hit and our skylight and roof had no leaks. We are happy with Tony and his company's service and the outcome.
