It was time for what every homeowner dreads--roof replacement. It was necessary for us to review options to replace a 25-30 year old concrete tile roof that probably should've lasted longer, but with the steep roof pitch, and time/wear, a significant number of tiles had started sliding off so it was something that needed to be done.

We went through the bid process for multiple estimates and decided that Lior, with California First Roofing, was our guy. He was responsive from initial inquiry to project completion and kept me plugged in at every step of the way - permitting, plywood, inspection, tiles, fascia board and gutters. Aside from a roofing tile manufacturing delay and supply issues (to no fault of California First Roofing) this project ran smoothly and on time.

Initially, I was going to go with the most cost effective, low maintenance, best bang for your buck option. For all you husbands out there with wives, you know how more often than not, this doesn't happen. My wife asked for other options. Of course she did. To be fair, she did ask good questions and wanted something more aesthetically pleasing and longer lasting than my initial choice. When getting estimates from Lior, he was patient and knowledgeable, and couldn't argue with my wife's taste or reasons for wanting other options. (Who could?) We needed to have plywood installed over the entire roof and garage, decided on higher end Certainteed presidential TL asphalt shingles, and in addition, replaced and painted all fascia board and had new gutters installed. Damn her. Just kidding.

Lior is more than willing to listen to your needs and work within a budget (more than my wife was), and kept his promise--a quality job done within the time frame promised. His goal was to have happy customers--mission accomplished as he and his crew did a stellar job.

I would not hesitate to recommend California First Roofing. The owner/project manager, Lior, was on point with all aspects of this project. I look forward with working with him on potential future projects as Lior does kitchens and ADU's in addition to roofing.

I interviewed 5 or 6 different roofing companies. My last interview was with Lior with California First Roofing. They explained every detail in length going above and beyond. Outstanding professionalism. After my interview with them I thru away any other quote from the other companies that I had interviewed. My re-roofing was completed in 3 days. After each day was completed the staff cleaned my entire property to the last crumb. The staff was extremely polite and professional. If anyone is looking to have their roof re-done, this is the company you should hire.

Got a bid for a re-roof. Great guy, good communication. I found a cheaper bid and am taking that, but I respect the owner for his openness and communication. Perhaps he is busier than the competing contractor whose bid I took. That happens.

The roof is gorgeous...the clean up thorough....and the communication is on point. The best thing I can say is that I would definitely use them again for anything dealing with my home. I have never been able to say that before.

We have a lovely new roof and it's all thanks to the expert crew from California First Roofing. From our initial inquiry to the estimate to the actual job, every contact was timely, polite and professional. California first kept us informed and clearly had our interests at heart. When the job was scheduled, their crew showed up right on time every day and got the job done quickly. The tear-off crew covered all of our many plants with tarps and handled all the mess without damaging a single plant. The roofing crew was prepared for every contingency (like a piece of fascia that had to be replaced) and took each one in stride.
