Since he was a child, Scott has had a keen interest in understanding how things operate. Scott often took his dad's tools to repair bikes, performed well with household fixes, and shone in woodshop. When he entered the workforce, he gravitated towards the construction field. Scott's Construction Services has been a staple in the Coachella Valley since 1988. While working at a client site (Kmart center), he noticed that over 100,000 sq. ft. of roofing was approaching the end of its lifespan. Scott researched roof restoration and maintenance as alternatives to conventional replacement. This marked the inception of California Cool Roof Coatings. During the initial year, he hired a roofer for small repairs and roll coating. By the second year, he rented spray equipment and began handling his own roof repairs. By year three, he had purchased several large spray rigs. In year four, he acquired another sprayer and added a C-39 roofing classification license to his contracting license.
