After contacting 8 ADU contractors we chose California NRG because we were so impressed with Santiago and were lucky enough to see a recently finished unit that we loved. The ADU is beautiful, so much nicer than we ever envisioned. I would recommend this company.

If I can give zero stars I would. Where do I even start!!!! I found this company through YouTube. Contacted the person on the video Santiago, he came out to my place with the contractor to provide me an estimate on my ADU. Price and plans where reasonable, so we move forward with contract. Now this is where the roller coaster begins.Guys came out to do demolition, okay that was done. My backyard looked as if a tornado had passed by!!! Let me tell you it was a disaster, dirt, broken concrete, nails, their tools everywhere. The workers couldn't even clean up after themselves. My husband had to clean up for them. As the construction started, workers would come to work twice or 3 days out of the week. When I asked why they don't work the whole week their response was"" the Boss has other projects he is focusing on other than yours "". I then, called Cali NRG to complain and was told they could sent my message to the contractor. Basically, Cali NRG is the back end sales office only, they have a contract with the contractor only to give him projects. Once you sign the contract it's you against the contractor. This whole process was a HUGE Headache!!!!! From the worker's being messy and a few of the workers not knowing how to do construction. Towards the end, I get a surprise letter by mail , my house being on lien from Jedsaro Solution. Now who the hell is that? I contacted Cali NRG and was told it's a partner company by them for best deals on job construction. At this point l, I'm so confused. I thought all along I was working with Cali NRG, no one ever mentioned my contract was a sub contractor with Jedsaro Solutions. I looked up the company and doesn't even exist. Wow!! This letter stated my Contractor has not paid Jedsaro for making the sale agreement. So, Jedsaro is putting my house on lien so he can get paid. I've made all my payments to the contractor as listed on the contract. Why should I be responsible on paying the sub contractor. Finally, I had a good conversation with the contractor, it appears this Jedsaro solution company is a solely business by one of the employees at Cali NRG. Seems that they where trying to scam us on getting more money for the project that was done. Now, I'm so stressed out and mentally ILL. This can go on and on. !!! STAY AWAY!!!! If you decide to still go with them ""Read The contract and protect yourself""!!!!! I hope the owner at Cali NRG reads this and is aware of his employees.

Whereas we have not inked a deal yet, Steve from Cali NRG is super responsive and very caring of our needs, and how to negotiate the morass of the building process in Los Angeles. Honesty and trust goes a long way with me - I've been burned by contractors before and am very leery. They are also reasonable! I'm very impressed thus far.

Where to start? This ADU project has been a disaster, and the way they are handling it is at an amazing neck breaking turtle speed. They sure are very good at sending someone to charge us when they still have not finished fixing issues a lot of times they created. The tankless water heater they installed had issues and it took them a month to fix. Not only that, the Main house's water heater was moved and installed incorrectly and not up to code. When the inspector came he gave us a citation to fix it. They are ignoring my requests to fix it.

The remote control for the heater/ac unit was lost and I have been asking them to replace it for the last month and still no results. The electric panel took for ever to get addressed, and it was part of the contract, and I had to point out that it was in the contract and show them because they claimed that was not part of the deal (thank god for written contracts).

The main house had some plants which they destroyed in the process of building the ADU.

Not only that, they took video of my house without my permission and uploaded it to Youtube.

I just want people to know that if they want to avoid major frustration to not do business with this company.

I'm very happy with their work. I was able to covert my garage to an apartment and they help me with the whole process from finding the right financing option, plans, pull permits and the construction itself. Overall great experience and highly recommended.

It's 21st century, you know and time to go solar. Our house is perfectly situated on a sunny side of a hill and we were considering installation of solars for a long time and finally decided to do that.
We called couple companies for quotes and NRG gave us the best price, furthermore they gave us quotes on maintenance and couple advices how to use it more efficently.
After barely a week of installation all was done and we are completely satisfied and happy. Thanks to NRG crew who made this possible.

Solar panels in less then a month? Oh yeah. I called couple companies before chose to work with Cali NRG. When other offered installation start dates around July Ben from California NRG could start almost the next day. We made an estimate, signed a contract and the very next day tech crew was on our roof making installments. The only thing what could stop us is rains, but we were lucky and it was rainy only couple days and even though Ben could finish the work as scheduled.

Cali NRG helped repair my roof after it was damaged from the rain and winds. Santiago and his crew were very professional and helped answer all of my questions. We were shopping around for about 4 months and Cali nrg were moons below my budget! Thank you guys, thank you Santiago. I appreciate all of the hard work. I'm one happy customer.
