During the great rains of 2023 Noah and his team came through for me. He was professional, communicative and patient.

He came on time for his estimate. He took photos and showed the current state of my roof. He explained the materials and process they used.

He coordinated with my solar manufacturer. As it was raining off and on throughout March he closely watched the weather and picked a date that he and the Solar company could work.

The roof is beautiful. He even built up two of our skylights so they are higher up using redwood. Highly recommended.

Some other roofers were about 10k more, were less responsive, or wanted me to pay to do an estimate. While I normally pay more for peace of mind, in this case I'm glad I used Cal State.

Even when an issue came up of a fence that was damaged during the install, without a question about who did what they repaired and repainted it, and now its better than new!

We had a leak and got a few estimates. Noah gave the most complete explanation about options. The flat roof had to be done and he said to wait and see if the leak originated from there before removing the Spanish tiles. We did have to remove tiles. He gave pros and cons about using tile. He was professional and so was his crew. They cleaned up every night. We had two small issues after the job was done and paid for. He responded quickly and took care of it. now that is excellent customer service. I wouldn't use any one else!

Insurance gave us a 3 week window to have our roof replaced, and Noah was quick to respond to us and do a walkthrough of our roof. He inspected the roof so he knows what to expect, but wasn't pushy to sell us on his service. We requested an estimate, and his pricing was fair. We reached out to him for this project because he showed up on time (early actually), and responded within reasonable time, and had fair pricing. They gave us a time frame of when they could start, but ended up getting the permits a lot sooner and finishing our full roof replacement within 2 days. He sent us a picture of the finished job, and all the documents. He was consistent and reliable, and got the job done with no fuss. We highly recommend Cal State Roofing for your roof replacements!

We needed a sheet metal guy to modify and repair our gutter and found Jonathan. He and his guy were very good about listening to our needs when they first came and evaluated our gutter. He was quite busy just before the rainy season so I wasn't sure if he could help us with the gutter repair. But he was good about keeping up with the communication and replied every time I asked when he would be available. When we finally got on his calendar, he showed up as scheduled and did the work professionally. Jonathan was easy to work with, a good communicator, respectful, responsive and knowledgable about his gutter and sheet metal. I am so happy that our gutter is functional before the rain comes.

Noah and his crew did a great job on my re-roof! I had multiple leaks throughout my home, wanted to close my skylight, and to also re-install my solar panels. Noah's crew completed the re-roof very quickly (3 days!) and on-time. His team was very professional, they were on-time (even arrived early!), communicated to me very clearly of all the issues and potential impact of the fix, and very friendly. They also worked very closely with the solar panel team so that they could ensure that the install would not impact the roof. They have a lot of pride in their work and they make sure things are done right; both for the roof and for the customer. They are very reliable and I would recommend Cal State for all my roof work.

In addition, their pricing is very competitive and all additional work were communicated early so that additional costs were not a surprise. If I could, I would give them 10 stars because they were great to work with and do great work! Thanks you Noah and your team!

It was time to replace the roof on our home in San Francisco, so we obtained estimates from different companies and Cal State Roofing was the most fairly priced. Noah was very responsive via all forms of communication (phone, email, and text). He was also professional, friendly, and courteous during the entire process. He kept us updated along the way and sent photos to show us the roof before and after. Some general advice that I would give to people looking to replace their roof is to make sure to budget for additional expenses that can only be discovered upon removal of the old roof. Things like dry rot, sheathing board, protection boards, and city permits are not usually included in most quotes from roofing contractors (review the exclusions in the contracts) since these aren't usually known until after the contract is signed, the project is started, and the old roof is removed. Noah was up front and transparent about all of these potential additional expenses, so there were no surprises for us. Noah was punctual for all appointments and the project was completed efficiently and on time. I give my highest recommendation for Cal State Roofing!
