Cable's worked with the realtors to pull a clear bait and switch. When we were buying this house we were shown one contract showing a new roof, with all of the areas covered with high quality roofing. What was provided was changed, with two areas not even being covered, with decking that was clearly inadequate being reused, and being promised that everything would be fixed. Needless to say nothing was fixed, and the con worked. I am guessing that my agent was getting kickbacks because she would not step up and the Cable's rep promised the world, but delivered typical East Texas, Smith County, failure to accept responsibility or be honest.
Here is an example of the quality of their work, and this is perhaps the best bit of it.. I was told repeatedly that this was the best that anyone offered... BS...

From beginning to end my roof replacement project was professionally handled by Cables. Would not hesitate to hire them again and recommend them to anybody looking for knowledgeable, hard working, ""show-up"" type people.
Our experience with Cable's has been terrible. Well, our initial sales meeting with Tim Fairhead was great and was the only bright, responsive part of our interaction with Cable's. They took our deductible on May 6, but did nothing after that to interact with our insurance company as they said they would until I call for an update on May 17. Then they finally sent the Settlement Letter and Estimate of Damages, this was despite the fact that they told us it was sent on May 11. And even after they finally sent the estimate they still have not responded to the claims adjuster request for information one line item. This request was made on 5/17 and today is 5/25 and it's still not sent!! And everything I try to speak to Macy Cable regarding the delay and get an update, she will not get on the phone with me or have the professionalism to return my call!! Mine you, this is after they took my $2,300 deductible.
My major frustration come because on 4/11 we lost almost 25% of our roof due to a major storm. And every time it rains or we have strong winds, we panic in fear of even more damage occurring. Cable's is more than aware of this, but their lack of care, responsiveness and yes, professionalism is unacceptable. I wouldn't want anyone else going though this to have this experience that we have had with Cable's.

Michelle Z.My husband and I are highly disappointed in this company. If they didn't have the best price for the roofing repair we would not have gone with them. We first contacted them end of October and they had a girl (Courtney) come out and take pics and look at our roof. Bad impression when she was 2 hours late from the time she gave us. We had to call and call for three weeks just to get an estimate. Eventually had to get her boss (Tim) to give us estimate as she was unreachable, he was really apologetic while covering for Courtney. This was after Thanksgiving when we finally got the estimate. We signed the contract and gave Tim a deposit check on the 1st of December to have repairs done. Was sent an email on the 13 that we were moved to the production people to have the repairs done. Had not heard back from them and called on Thursday the 16 was told they would call back and no call back. We called back on the 20th and was told they would call back no call back we called them back that afternoon and they said they would be here on the 27th. We waited for them to show up and called them when they didn't show up and was told that if they could make it it would be afternoon because they had to finish another job, no one showed up in the afternoon either. We called them again and were told Tuesday they would be here first thing. No show Tuesday morning so call again at 10:30 and they told us they will be at our house by noon. Noon comes and goes, call back at 12:30 and they ""are almost here,"" finally arrived about 1:10 in the afternoon. The guys that did the roof were good. The only thing Cable's roofing were quick about was wanting their final payment which we had an email and phone call about within two days of the repair. These people are horrible at communication & do not return calls. I do not recommend this company.
JW Z.Amazing company. Service was friendly, honest and precise. Good explanation of product choices and doesn't try to push just one. Roof was scheduled quickly and done in one day even though large home. Prices are super competitive too.
Cable's roofing inspected the roof of a home we recently purchased. The report stated that there was no storm damage to the shingles, pipe flashing, boots and bent caps. Another inspection revealed extensive and severe damage. The third inspector confirmed the second inspector stating that the storm damage to the roof was severe. It appears that Cable's roofing report could have been written to help the sellers get the house sold and may have not been entirely truthful.
