Company Overview

The year 1906 marked the founding of C. E. Bourne Sheet Metal Works in Greenwood, SC, when C. E. Bourne, Sr. took over the tinware and sheet metal business from J. W. Sproles. Prior to this, he worked as a roofing and sheet metal mechanic for J. W. Sproles starting in 1889.

The Bourne family has proudly managed the company for over a century. C. E. Bourne, Jr. led the business until 1971, followed by C. E. Bourne, III, who continued until 1982. The business was incorporated in 1984 by Ted S. Bourne, who named it C. E. Bourne & Co., Inc., and he managed it until June 2001. Today, Judy D. Bourne manages the firm, continuing its legacy as a woman-owned business.

C. E. Bourne & Co., Inc. cherishes its legacy and continues to operate with the same values and integrity as envisioned by its founder. Now, we are a fifth-generation family-owned business.
